From Chen . I lazy to read thru’ the ‘rules’. When come to food, I just can’t wait to jump into the topic straight away!!

FIVE favourite eating places in Perth? Easy! Easy! In fact, I have more than five places!!

1. Hong Kong Barbeque, Northbridge.

I call HK BBQ as my secondary kitchen. Whenever me and Kian lazy to cook over the weekend, we will drive to town, enjoy yummie bbq and roated meat, and of course, the friendly conversation with the staff members.

My favorite dish is roated duck. I would say I order this particular dish most (99%) of the time when I go over. It is very very yummie! They are fresher, the skin is crunchier, and the meat this thicker compared to others. I tried many other restaurants before, neh! They just don’t make me happy.

How to descripe the ‘un-happiness’? I am thinking.

In adultery term, it is like.. you don’t have enough sex good night sleeps. In nerd term, it is like.. you don’t score more than 80% (or probably slightly less than this), you get cranky, unsatisfied.

By the way, I am half of the nerd.

‘Loh Han Zai’ (Mixed Vege Stir Fry) is my favorite. Oh, minus the fungus.

And toufu… as usual. I have been eating this hot-plate toufu dish for awhile, I still don’t know what’s the name. Whenever I order toufu, they just know which one to cook for me  

Yes, this is how often I go there.

2. Ciao Italia, South Perth

This is a local Italian Restaurant. Approximately 10 min away from my house. They serve absolutely yummie Italian dishes. Oh well, I won’t call it my favourite restaurant if they don’t cook good food, right? Stupid me.

The pasta is so real! Real as in… they use very organic/original cooking ingredients. Lotsa REAL spices. Not like those opening a can of tomato sauce and poor everything into your pasta. You get what I mean? ;P

Good food comes with good price too. *smile*

And the pizza… Kian loves chilli king prawn pizza. He orders it every single time. Do you hear me? Every single time.  

I don’t mind, really. I enjoy seeing the hot chefs putting all the ingredients on the pizzas-from one pizza to another pizza, and dump them into the wood-fired generated oven.. now, that IS HOT!

3. Thai Corner Restaurant, Applecross 

The food are all well done. Beautifully crafted. If you a big fan of spices like lemongrass, chili, coriander, lemon… yes! Shouldn’t do food post in the morning, espcially I haven’t got any brekky.

I still ask the same question whenever I go there– this is THAI restaurant, they have all the THAI working there. But I don’t see THAI ah-kuah? (pondan)

Well, I never been to Bangkok. Bangkok eh. Remind me of American Pie. Stifler asked: What’s the capital of Thailand? BANG KOK!!!

Yeah.. back to food, Bangkok. Yeah, I never been there before, and since I was young, I heard lotsa oldies telling me about the Tiger Show, Pondan Show.. My mind is full of these imagination whenever I think of Thailand. Ermm… how they actually look like?

Bah! For now, we settled on food. THAI food. ok? NEXT!!! (flip another page)

4. Utopia, Northbridge.

If only you like vegetarian chinese food.

My strict vegetarian friends bring me there… and I bring those not-so-strict vegetarian friends there.

It is a nice place to sit down and don’t eat meat. For once in a while.

But yeah, most of the time, I pop in to grab bubble tea. Oh yeah, bubble tea!!

Speaking of Bubble Tea…. My favorite bubble tea is peach flavour and bubble (sago) at ALL time. What’s yours?

4. Ciccrella’s Fish and Chips  

Whenever I feel like a dirty and oily fish and chips, we go down to Freo. As dirty as you can get… and all the fat. OH! SO NICE!! 

Too bad.. no fish and chips photo! I ate them all before I managed to take a photo. Erm, I shall show you next time.. especially the fat/oil that soaked underneath the paper. OH! SO NICE!

By the way, chilli mussels is authentic.

5. Various Cafes - Miami House, Bicton; Gloria Jeans, Victoria Park; Brew Ha, Subiaco etc etc…….

We both like doing the local thing. Local, as in.. 10-15min away from my house. Eat the local pie and fruit tart. And enjoy a cup of tea/coffee,

I simply mean I like going places, attending outdoor activities, I think alot (alot X3), and I love writting. Oh yeah, I want to practice English too. My English suX.  

1. I want to keep a self-entertained life documentary for myself so I can laugh at myself in the future, how silly I was, how bimbo I was ( I am and I still will be) and how cute I was (still am and will be) *ahem*  

4.  I need a quite space for my wild and crazy thoughts, therefore I blog. Yer..You know..the bitchin’ , the gozz, the whingin’, the woman thing, what do you expect mate?

3. I have this self-absorbed narcissism psychological disorder that I want to show off my works. Oh well, this is not significant. What important to me is when other people from another side of this globe like my photos, my art work, and my cooking, and hopefully some of my crazy thoughts and ideas–I tell you what, the feeling is sooooo awesome!!

5. er…er…er.. Because I want to raise my voice for the society if possible and help other people who need help. Yeah, politically-correct wannabe, can? I reckon no matter where I am, I am responsible for this society and community. Otherwise there will be pointless and meaningless in blogging life. *amitaba*

1. First time moving out from house–15 years old. Moved to Taiping, did my senior high in a blardy chinese school. It was my first time too in my life I learn sooo much, with very minimal amount of tears pouring out.

2. First boyfriend– about 15 years old as well. I wasn’t serious, I must admit. I just wanted to get a ‘toy’ to show off to my dad, ’cause he was saying I wouldn’t do well in exam. Hell not! Turn out, I scored all 8 blardy A(s). Phew~! Thank Buddha! Anyhoo, we broke up after I moved out from this little town. Yeah, I know it was childish, but hey! What do you expect,we all were young (bitch) once. ;P

3. First time encounter death–also happend when I was around 15 or 16. It was a MVA. Broke my right arm. Had that hardcore plaster for 4 weeks. The pain was nothing compared to the itchy-ness!

4. First pen-pal–He wasn’t exactly the first one, but he is definitely the first one who send more than 200 letters! We started when I was 13 years old and still counting. I love writting letters and crap. Can you imagine that? 200++ letters going over and 200++ letters still sitting in my room in Bagan Serai. In case you are curious.. NO! NO! NO! We were never gf-bf before. He is now married.

5. First love (and forever)– Kian. He is the one who let me see who I am, his motivation, encouragment.. Lotsa ppl think I am the one who do most of the kitchen work, housworks and getting breakky, lunch and dinner going..and they think Kian is the luckiest guy on earth. But you know what? Deep down in my heart, I AM world luckiest girl to have him as my bf!

I reckon this particular tag is a bit difficult. I know I am weird at some points, but I just don’t know who weird I am, and sometime I love to think that I am normal rather than weird o strange. erm..maybe this is another weird-ness of mine (?)
1. I love doing housework! I enjoy doing it and I am obssessed I do houseworks when I am happy, upset, annoyed, etc etc. I do it at any hours, including 12 in the morning. How werid?

2. I enjoy blood donation every three months. Mainly because I believe this is a nice thing to do (karma, is the word)..and I enjoy the adrenaline rush when the blood being drawn from my body.

3. I love eating weird food. Pork blood jelly, chicken feet, peppered pork stomach soup, salted duck eggs.

Tagged by Hijackqueen. Last year. I thought it wasn’t time to do the tag, but I think these questions are ready for now. Come to think of it, when exactly ready, is ready?

1. Are you happy/satisfied with your blog, with its content and look? Does your family know about your blog?
Erm..in some way, YES. In some way, NO.

• Content– I always have something to say, wheather it is critical, funny, boring or bitchy. *woman* Yeah! Blogger’s block doesn’t happen to me much *touch wood* But for the sake of New Year, I wish I can ‘talk’ less. I’m wondering how many people actually reading my sucky English.
• Photos–YES! I’m quite happy with my photos I’ve taken. I love people looking looking at my photos and say:  I LOVE YOUR PHOTOS! :) It is very rewarding. And you know what? I don’t photoshop  them!! Whatever taken from my camera, that’s it.  If I don’t write much in an entry, there are/is always some photos.
• Layout–Bah! I don’t know what to say. This is way out from my control. I am happy with the all-time changing headers. Apart from that, I can’t complaint much ‘cos I’m glad I have good friend like Jon helping me to do everything for this blog. Yeah lar! I’m a dumb blogger!

My family members know I keep a weblog. I doubt those rellies from Bagan Serai read it.

2. Do you feel embarrassed to let your friends know about your blog or you just consider it as a private thing?
EMBARRASSED? NO WAY!! You know what? My facial skin is thicker than coffin wood, can? To be honest, I love to show people my photos. I love the happy moments, smiles, and my arty photos. I love ‘em to comment on my pictures and my creativity as well. But to some extend, I try to keep a low profile in my profession due to confidentiality.

3. Did blogs cause positive changes in your thoughts?
Most of the time YES. I’m a extreme optimistic myself. I always try to see the positive side of everything.

4. Do you only open the blogs of those who comment on your blog or you love to go and discover more by yourself?
Depend how much time I’ve got on that day itself and how busy I am. You know me…a very busy person in my life, for derno what reasons.

5.What does visitors counter mean to you? Do you care about putting it in your blog?
The statistic means something for me. It sorta determines how many photos I will put up in a post. If I get quite abit of readers/viewers, meanning there will be higher turn-over of photo volume. If I get less, there will be slightly lesser photos to be shown. YEAH!! I want everybody who drop by my blog see my photos!!!! *desperate camera addict*

6. Did you try to imagine your fellow bloggers and give them real pictures?
Bah! I see ‘em quite often. What’s the point of imagination? This is not a ’sex’ thing right?

7. Admit. Do you think there is a real benefit for blogging?
Yes! The friendship, the little blogger community, the gossip, the stories etc etc… priceless! Blog for money? Erm…I haven’t think that far yet. Maybe I should eh? Or at least I need to look for some richman or richman’s son to pay for my hosting and domain name. Hahaha!

8. Do you think that bloggers society is isolated from real world or interacts with events?
What type of question is this? Me organised THREE blogger meets last year, endless blogger friends paaaaarrrrties, lunches, catching-ups, bubble tea sessions .. =.='’

Oh yeah! There will be another one coming up on March. So, PERTH BLOGGERS!!! *ahem* You know what to do, eh?

9. Does criticism annoy you or do you feel it’s a normal thing?
Depend what type of criticism, really. Thank Buddha!!! I haven’t get much from my readers. But either way–positive comments will remain positive; negative and nasty critics will turn into positive thoughts. At the end of the days, they still boost my egoism in someways. Haha. *told you! I’m one psycho positive Pisces!”

10. Do you fear some political blogs and avoid them?
Nah! Not really. I love critical thinking.

11. Did you get shocked by the arrest of some bloggers?
Abit. I know that person ok? I might look like a hardcore working female, but deep down in my heart..I’m warm-blooded mammal. *insert puppy eyes*

12. Did you think about what will happen to your blog after you die?
no wor. I did think what to do with my body and my funeral. Blog? Bah! I don’t even know what to do with my savings yet. =)

13. What do you like to hear? Whats the song you might like to put a link to in your blog?
I used to play ‘Handbags and Gladrags’ (the theme of ‘The Office’ UK) in my good ol’ blogspot. But now..nah! If, if, if…if I want to play a song..I will play ‘Black Fingernails, Red Wine’ by Eskimo Joe.

1. As far as I love to go on serious diet just like what I planned on the 1st January 2006, hmm.. it doesn’t seem like working. Simple as that: I love my food.
2. Beside sitting infront my laptop, nerding thru’ internet, I enjoy housework, gardening, and cooking as much as I like go for a swim in late afternoon.
3. I am slight westernised conservative Asian. Learning the new culture whilst keeping Oriental values.
4. I love David Brent (Ricky Gervais). However, my obsession pause at The Office soon I realised he is a depressed man in the Extras. I sometimes suspect a happy cheerful man can suffer from depression too. And I wonder myself, if I am one of them? Anyway, depression leads the sexyness of a person,in some way. That’s why I still love Brent.

5. I know nothing about Footy (AFL), however I love watching the games, chasing the scores and eyeing on the footy players musculin body and arses. I even appreciate it if you don’t watch the game with me, but to some extent, you may acknowldege my obsession and don’t just ignore me completely.
6. I have problem saying NO. In some ways, I am a soft-hearted biatch; I carry loads of burden myself. There is some scientist said that person who has problem saying NO, will suffer from anxiety, depression…and later die from cancer. Bullshit one lah. =) I love this tag anyway, ’cause I feel the love. ^_^
