Special Occasion

Gong Hey Fatt Choy!

Hello everyone! Thanks for all your texts, emails..They are so lovely, some of them are quite funcky too! Awesome! I feel so loved.

WE like to wish you all a very very Happy Chinese New Year. Wish you all a healthy and properous year! If you already married, don’t forget to gimme an ang-pow (Red Packet). p/s: I accept cash-less Red Packet. All I want is the good luck wish from you all. Cheers! ;)

Something for exciting! Yes! The boy is back in Town. YAY!

more YAY-ness — I finally got my camera back.

We headed down to The Left Bank for our own version of little reunion dinner. The seafood platter was sooo good.

More self-portrait from me.
We went down to Fo Guang Shan Temple (W.A) at Mayland. The feeling was just so very Chinese-New-Year!

I was wearing the same dress from dinner. For you truely Chinese folks, yes, it is indeed not very (traditionally) Chinese friendly. :)

I will post out more photos in my next coming entry.

YAY! More colourful pictures for my weblog, no more photo-less entries.

*awesome*

Weekend Wedding

Few weeks ago, we received an invitation from a girl from work to her wedding, the moment when I opened up the card, a colleague of mine asked me: Will you feel like joining the trend too?

I kindly answered, NO WAY! And I won’t sob too. The later additional explanation wasn’t even asked in the question. I just want to let my friends know that I am strong, I am not usuall sob all the emotional moments. *tahan je lah

We headed down to a Park. Although it was drizzling for a bit in the arvo, but nothing could stop the wedding. We all waited passionately. We divided ourselves nicely between the aisle – the drug addicts and non-addicts. That’s just the side joke.

The moment the music started to play: I swear, by the moon and the sky … …
OK. I lied. I struggled to hold my tears in my eyes. It was such a touching and lovely moment. p/s: don’t get me wrong.  I am still not joining the trend, yet.

The couple exchanged vows. They exchanged the eternal rings. We were still in tears.

We cannot feel any happier and luckier for this special moment. p/s: I am still not joining the trend.
M* is so gorgeous. For the first time, we call her Mrs. X.And yes, she is celebrating Christmas as Mrs X for the first time.. so many first-times. Nice.

I took quite a few of photos. There are so many which turn outto be a very good photo. Fact, every single photo in my weblog are my favourite ;)

For Facebookers, this is the real deal of chest bump. D cups versus A cups. My boss think I am dirty. Ta ma deh! I am very innocent one leh, ok?

This photo has been sepia-fied to match the rest of sepia setting photos. For the real deal and the entire album, see HERE.

We sang along with the wedding singer, we danced along side with the famous Macarena, we had yummie lamb shank. Riesling and lemonande. Lager and Bourbon.

For my friends, M and P – Congratulation!! All the best!

and YUMMMMM SENG!!!! (cheers)

River Cruise

Hello and Welcome! (in Jeremy Clarkson’s stylo J )

I joined my uni mates to our graduation river cruise on Friday. I took some photos from the boat while it cruised away from the Jetty. Here are some photos of Perth, and I hope you love it.

p/s: I hope this doesn’t sound so gay – the more I look into these photos, I realise the more I am actually in love with Perth. *blardy hell* Or.. it is just the photo? I don’t know.

effortlessly.

Sun Princess at Freo Harbour

Totally in love with the  mixture of colours.

Erm,I strongly disagree taking photos with camera flash on all the time. It spoils the quality. But, it was so dark in the boat, I seriously couldn’t do much.

One more thing, I expected more ‘human’ pictures that night’s action. Thanks go to my smart-arse, I accidentally set my camera to highest ISO ever, and most of the photos taken absorbed the ‘noise’ from the surrounding. Great!

Ok. Bad quality photos aside.

It was an awesome night. It wasn’t too heavy (ie, too much alcohol) or too light (ie, insufficient alcohol). What I actually have in mind all the time is: moi is heading down South for holiday!! Woohoo! Be right back in few days time.

You folks enjoy your week ahead!

I promise more photos and juicy juicy details before 31st December 2007. Cheers!!

Mazda Performance Day 2007

ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM!

It is another year of Mazda Performance Day. This year this time, we got invited (again) to join the crew to have some fun in all the Mazda Performance Series (MPS) super babes –MX5, Mazda 3, 6 and RX 8!!!

I felt abit reluctant to go this year due to heavy work loads. But heck, come to think of it, it is always worth it. Oh yeah.
I get to take a guest with me this year, so I decided to bring Ryan along. Ryan is a big fan of cars, and Dick Johnson, maybe :)

The highlight of the event was Dick Johnson driving all the VIP and guests in RX 8!! Two “!“s for the excitment! One for the car, and another one goes to Mr. Johnson. ;) I didn’t know Mr. Johnson is Australia legendary V8 driver..or whatever they call him. I was told he is a BIG thing in Australia. Still!!! After one year, I stil don’t get the ‘WOW’ effect, much *paiseh* ;)

There were around 20 VIP were invited to te Performance Day. Mr. Johnson gave everyone 2 hot laps in RX8. (Let’s do some math here, twenty multiply by two, it is equal to FORTY!!! G! It is not easy being Mr.Johnson mann) ;)

Mr. Johnson drove at the limit of 160km/h !!! Holy cow! Ryan expected me vomiting all over the place. Alas..If I did, I won’t let that happend infront everyone including the organiser lah. I know how to jaga my muka after all, yeh? *wink*

Mr. Johnson is  very very  down to earth. He was trying to chat with me during the Hot Lap. I could hardly blurp out few words. Man! Both my hands were holding tight on both side of passenger seat. All I could think was: OH! Please! May this RX 8 don’t fly out to the sky like E.T bicycle! Oh please! ;)
He asked me if I am a BIG fan of sport cars. *funny question* I told him I am not a HUGE fan.. I prefer $$$ at any time :) He laughed. Yeah mah! Who doesn’t like $$$? You tell me! :)

We all got our photos with Mr. Johnson, and they were all autographed by him. I am happy. At least this year, I know him a bit better ;)

The organiser allowed everyone to drive (speed) in MPS babes. I don’t fancy Mazda 3 anymore since I’ve driven one last year before. I loved to drive RX-8, but I decided to give it a pass because I don’t want to embarass myself infront everyone. Changing gear is abit different in RX-8. Mazda 6 is indeed a very sophosicated car. I highly recommend this car for parents with pram(s).
I didn’t really want to go down to the driving track because the road was wet due to an episode of pouring rain. Plus all other VIP were so eager to race (to heaven or hell), it kinda freak me out abit. I am constant 60–80km/h-driver after all ;)
I decided to drive in MX-5 at the end. Purely because it is the first car heading out the track. And HAHA! You guess it right!! I wanted to SLOW everyone down!!! I just like to annoy people hella ‘em. It was so cool mannn! What an entertainment. *shiok* The best part was.. the men couldn’t say much about me because I am a girl!!! *yay for girl power*

At the end of driving/speeding session, we got Mr.Johnson to autograph out sounveniers from Mazda. We (me, Kian and Ryan) called Dick Johnson, Mr. Johnson, whilst the rest of the people simply no-big-no-small call him Dick. WTF?

“Dick! Can you sign my book please”
“Dick! can you please..Dick.. Dick.. Thank you, Dick!”
“Dick..Dick..DICK!!”

WT Fish man!!! You don’t call people like that!!! It is sooooo wrong! Can you imagine if all the dicks had been translated to Hokkien?

“Lanjiao! Can you sign my book please”
“Lanjiao! can you please..Lanjiao.. Lanjiao.. Thank you, Lanjiao!”
“Lanjiao..Lanjiao..LANJIAWWW!!!”

So wrong, right? I feel sorry for Mr. Johnson. He is innocent! So do I ;)

I was very pleased to see everyone had a great time at the Performance Day. Driving should be fun, enjoyable and all about happiness despite my slow-boat-to China speed ;) (quote from Ryan)

I took few photos here and there…
One like this with Ryan.

Another like this with Mr. Dick Johnson!!!!! :)

How cool is that? :)

Long Weekend Syndrome

Yesterday was public holiday.  I was told it was Queen’s Birthday is Western Australia. Seriously? who cares? Erm..maybe I do. Because working on public holiday means…*sniff da munny!!! z0mg!! =P

Beside 3-hours work at the placement, I decided not to work this arvo elsewhere. I took Kian out. We settled our lunch over The Crepe at Garden City.

I didn’t grab much brekky before I went to work, except half a glass of full cream milk.  So I thought, I probably could have something ‘heavy’. Yeah, my crepe might look plain, but…..

ta dah!!! look at the overloeaded cheese! the smoked salmon and spring onion! and the fat!! oh-yeah.
All my favourites!

Before I keep going on and on and on about yummie food… hey you!  quick quick! chop chop!
Wish my ney a happy birthday!! He turns one year younger this year! :)

Dinner, we settled at Hayashi (Applecross).

We cheered over the Sake. We chatted. Here and there. I asked Kian what is his wish. He said he just want to be with me. ;) So sweet. I am so going to buy Lotto tomorrow. My ney hardly sweet talk to me, much. I wonder if the Sake did give him the gut?

We were very pleased. Kian was particularly happy when I am not in PMS mode. ;) Everytime I have PMS keh, or a bad day keh..he is the one kena the most. poor boyfriend. But hey! Don’t forget thou..when I ‘teh’, I also number-1 one leh! :)

But he says I have been a good girl. I am doing much better thesedays. :)

It is all good. *blurp* abit too fulled from dinner. ;P

I am surviving better compared to the previous week. There will be more things going on this coming week and next coming week. I am looking forward for everything.

I can’t remember what I wanted to say..bleks. anyway, off to bed first. wish you have a fantastic October ahead!
Cheers! :)

Baby Day at Work

Sunday Short Talk:

It has been while since my last post. About 10 days? 10 days only nia mah, right ? ;)

I have shitty days. Oh! you know, one of those days. *take a long deep breath and start ranting*
I have sore muscle pain behind my right shoulder. It is stretching my whole arm, facial muscle and even my fingers are tingling all the time! That’s how bad it it. I’m usually able to endure with very high level of pain threshold, and I don’t usually whinge like a baby (excpet I ‘teh’ (manja) Kian ;) ) But I’m coming down with depression from shitty free-labour placement… and I’m feeling miserable.

Seriously, how many times you really hear me b*tching, complaining?? and being an unhappy gal??? *sigh*

Don’t get me wrong, I love working with Kian. Oh! He is such a sweetheart. [Sadly, I only work with him 2 days a week.] Just that some ppl don’t treat me like a normal human being, they think I’m their free slave. knnccb! fuck you, beeyoch! this is Australia, it is not some fucking ancient India which divided ppl into classes.
Because of Kian, I have to STFU…keep everything nice and simple.and quiet. Am a person with very very strong personality, this is sending me straight to the 18th level of hell. I can’t voice it out loud..I damn ‘beh song’! *argh* Buddha certainly wanna put me on those tests. *amitabha*

Physical pain is one thing. Few cocktail tablets will do the job from time to time. But not enjoying work, every weekday morning I have to drag my soul so hard to work. I feel like puking blood on myself when I can’t behave positively. It is just not myself. I’m left with 4 weeks. I need to ‘re-tunne’ the way of thinking. How to lie to myself, what I should looking forward every morning. Think. Think positively. Life is too short to have these uneasy moments. I want happy-ness! :) *fingers crossed*

*** *** *** *** *** *** ***

Back to the serious business of blogging, shall we? *wink*

Baby Day is a commercial activity at my (paid) work place. This is the first time we had Baby Day, and I was very excited. I was asked to work extra shift *yum..sniffing the money*, and my job title was photographer! How cool is that?! :)

We had very busy morning. Parents floaked in to the shop..they asked advices from nurse; Pharmaceutical company reps where busy promoting their product. We handed out freebies. Few activities were going around too for the babies, little kiddos and US!!
I know–I look like a chook. I woke up late, and I didn’t get enough time to organise myself. I rushed to work with my sleeping cloth underneath. ;)

We did plenty of hand/foot print for the little ones, and I just couldn’y help myself toget one too. You see, back in where I come from, we don’t have such thing. Yeah, this masa-kecil-tak-pernah bahagia me, also wanted to get a handprint!

There you go! big kiddo got her handprint!

Aw! I deeply regreted it. It was so so so cold!!

Face painting was another highlight of Baby Day. Most of the kids get their faces painted; my inner Chinesey, Malaysian kiasu-ism was playing up, I also joined everyone to enjoy the free painting. It is FREE, right? Why not? Hehehe

Channy’s one is hell preeety!! But I don’t see myself in those nice  blue flowers on my face. Too pretty for me. *shy*

I asked for sun/stars instead. I always enjoy yellow, bright, cheerful that soft of color. I think it is awesome.
Have a look at those twinkling stars! Don’t you think they look awesome on my family-size-pizza face? I think it is cool, man! =)

The barber from next door asked me if I have marijuana painted on my face. I told him: hell yeah. I do drugs, remember? :)

Woo hoo! All gals got their faces painted. I am soooo happy. Yeah. If my boss wanted to tell me off for not taking my job seriously, at least I am not the only one who will get busted, right?!! =P

Hehe! Happy big babes we are. :)

WAPSA Ball 07

As I promised, there will be more photos from the WAPSA Ball. :)

Most of the photos were taken by Kian and other friends.

Kian and I had a great time. This is our first time attending dressing-up event, sorta.

I had no intention to attend the Ball at the beginning. First, I hate dressing up. Second, I still hate dressing up. Having mention the make-up, hair, shoes, ear rings etc etc. And girls, sometimes you get period at the wrong timing, and I hate using tampon. Nuff said for the flow visiting town. Oh yeah, and Winter fat! You know..all the fat that accumulate around the tummy, like your Land-Rover spare tyre, man! So not comfy in a ball dress. Plus the money I had to spend for the Ball.. man, bring your calculator out. Gee! Here 30 bucks, there 20 bucks…. so EXPENSIVE! I’m such an arse when I have to spend money on fashion–not (very much) my type. But, speaking of spending hundreds on kitchenware, food, Nintendo DS Lite, Wii, PS 3 … AH! That’s different story. :)

Laine, Mary and Me

Oh well, I was thinking, I never attened one for WAPSA, and I think I should do something before I’m done with School. Pus, my friends keep bugging me: oh well, cynthia… this is the LAST year, we aint going to see everyone much after this. True, True. I really want to see my friends more than anything else. I really want to do something nice with them. So, I guess it is worth to spend the money for a better reason. ;)

Yep, there you go.. that partial PEER PRESSURE got me there. Peer Pressure is a bitch, damn riiiiight!

The boys. Not gay.

I didn’t took as much photos as I thought. But it was all good..at least I still manage to get Kian to take some photos with me and friends whom I speak alot. You know, even I do carry my camera around with me most of the time, is not like I can simply snap photos in lecture. Oh wish I could, really.

The begining of the Ball was a bit slow–having old dude Page singing that ‘ABC’ song. Oh! So traditional.

Things get more and more excited then they showed the video clip James Mullet and Chris made. And guess what?? NAPSA Congress 2009 will be held in PERTH!! Here! In WA!!! I am excited! Guess what? James invited me to be the photographer!!! Yay! 2009 sounds like we still have a long way to go..but hey! It is not THAT far from us if you come to think of it. *gotta practice…gotta practice*

Now!!!! Let’s the party begin, babe~!! *phew phew*

“Mullet”

Vincent dropped by and say Hi. His hair is see-peh chioo.

And sui-char-bohs are all over everywhere.

Elisia put plenty of effort to organise WAPSA Ball. Million of thanks, sweetie!

Lana*

Funny thing is, I see quite a few number of ppl from my class.. but I have no idea what’s their name.[ops!] Hey! Tak kan you want me to ask: “Hey love, what’s your name” like that meh? Abit paiseh, ok? We’ve been sitting in the class for sooo long. And they have asian names..is not that difficult to remember for me anyway. At the end of the day, I rekcon I should put more effort in talking/socialising with these people. Then again, some ppl in the class form a very isolated group among themselves. Yeah, you get what I mean, don’t you? The Chinese thingy in aussie uni ;P  It is not easy to break the ice. Yeah, way beyond my social skill effort. Oh well, at the end of the day, I just can’t be bothered to give a sh*t. Nuff say. ;)

I love Boney’s dress. Man! These people really have long arm to go with those dresses.

Forrest*!!! I call this chick Forrest. Long story between us from Melbourne. I think she hated it for once ‘cos I always puke fun at her. But now.. we are cool. You can’t go Congress and party without her.

Chris*

==Photos with lectures==

Yea I know what you thinking. Sorry gals, he is taken. Me thinks.

 Leanne

Ah! This is my all-time favourite lecture, Jeff. See!! He is not much taller than me. :) I don’t really like the idea of walking to him, cutting off his conversation with others, and wanting photos. Man, I just can’t help. Is like… you spotted some big time celeb like Matt Damon on the street, your brain urge you to GO! Go and Get photo! Get the memory! Yeah, he is my Jason Bourne :)  Jeff has been doing alot alot of work in our profession, he is very inspiring. Thou my mark in his unit always dissappoint him, I guess.  [Erm…I’m getting very emo here]

Hey Geeks! Say CHEEEESE!!!

Ya see, my hair wasn’t that ‘chook’ie before I gone wild on the dance floor. ;) For lotsa people who have been asking me where I get my Cheongsam from, here it is, at Oriental Cheongsam.

I think I have enough photos for this post. :)

The Dalai Lama 2007 Australia Tour (06.06.07-Perth)

Kian and I went to His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama Australia Tour at Busrwood Dome. It was awesome! It was an alternative weekly date of ours, and that’s for sure. :)

Hello Everybody, please meet the Lama *Amitabha*

Note: My words from this particular experience don’t represent Dalai Lama’s presentation. Each individual may interprete differently. Ru2 shi4 wo3 wen2, is the word, meaning this is what I heard from … .

I must say I am very very lucky to have the chance to attend the Dhamma (Buddhist’ teachings). For a Buddhist, I truely believe a good cause is due to good karma.

The first Dhamma was held at 930am. We both reached there at 6am. You think we are insane? Ha! Ha! There were people from country area arrived at 4am! four freaking AM! It was freezing, but it was all worth it.

Dalai Lama is a very very wise man (obvisouly). He presented Dhamma with sense of humour; his carefree yet wisdom shows why he is widely accepted by the public especially in Western Countries.

In the first talk, Spirituality and Sustainability Forum, he said, how to preserve the nature? I don’t use bath tub for showering, I use shower, so I can save water. I switch off the light when I leave the room.

Everyone applaused and laughed out loud.

When Dalai Lama was questioned about how politician can take up a role in protecting environment (or something like that)..He looked stoned, and smiled to Jamie Durie (host), and answered: I don’t know. He laughed.

aH! So cute!  Again, his honestly won another applause from everyone. I realised this is the attitute lack in Chinese. When they don’t know, they pretend they know everything. They are either trying to pretend they are smart or they afraid their Chinese boss think they are too dumb.

The second Dhamma presentation was Ethic for New Millenium.  It was a booked out event. We didn’t actually manage to get hold on any tickets! Not until a lady overheard my conversation with a gentleman sitting next to me, she offered help. WAH LAU!!! We get to go BOTH talks!!! This a bloody good karma, can??? This means I am super nice larrr :P *ahem*

I saw the tickets, and I started touching them, feeling them…hoping it was NOT a dream! I was so moved and I cried! Ya Wei jie…I think you are the only person can understand my feeling at that moment.

I must speacial thank Hayagriva Buddhist Center who giving out the tickets for me. The lady was very kind, she said to me: Love, I try to get two seats together, so you can sit with your partner.

Honestly, I don’t expect her to get both of us sitting together, as long as there is one ticket for each of us, I am happy.

Thank you!

Dalai Lama began his presentation by asking: why major religion is built around God? Do human being need a religion?(something like that)

He said, in fact we don’t need any religion, unless we are lost and then we need one to guide us thru.

Yep! This is absolutely Buddhism. Perfect, clear message.

It was enlightend, educational and entertaining. ;)

Kian managed to record a small part of presentation on video, but youtube has been playing up with me. I tried toupload 3 times..non working. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the joyfulness of holy Dhamma as much as I do.

Sadhu, Sadhu, Sadhu.

Kavyen “Kav” Temperley from Eskimo Joe

I have selected more photos from Eskimo Joe Concert.  They are all about Kav, who is the vocal/bass of the band. I’m not bias ;) I think they all are fab! It just happend to be the vocal standing in the middle of the stage..and light, the focus…all go to him, naturally.

I must emphasize again and again..the concert was fantastic.[!!!] I still keep the adrenaline with me. Man! They rock!! I’m sorry the video clips didn’t turn out very well; for those who want to briefly listen to their songs, go to their website at http://eskimojoe.net/ Down all the way on the left, click the ‘PLAY’ button, and you shall enjoy ;)

I’ve got five photos here. All with different color (light) background, 3 different guitars, 5 different facial expressions which being captured well, I think. And yeah, 5 songs being played…obviously. AND! AND! AND!! ALL from one humble Canon A80, my old camera. :)

Soooooo, tell me! You like these photopgraphys of mine(./?/!!!)  :)

Part One of Eskimo Joe Concert: click here, babe.

Eskimo Joe Concert, Perth

Black fingernails, red wine
I wanna make you, all mine
A lot of people, underground
You wanna get there
You gotta go straight down
“  Oh O! straight down! Oh O! :)

Kian and I went to Eskimo Joe concert on Thursday night. It was our 6yr (+2months) anni ;)

I bought the tickets looooong time ago. It was a bit stressful few days before the concert because results were about to be released thesedays. John the crazy druggist said: hey! you will either be celebrating or you will be drinking your depression all the way down to your bowel (or something like that). =.=||| Thank Buddha! It wasn’t the later reason. Much to my relief, Malibu and pineapple juice, Jaiger Bomb..and even beer were all tasted sweeter than usual. *smile*

The concert started with couple of songs…not by Eskimo Joe thou. It was abit slow. But it was OK. You just knew the concert will get better and better. We aint paying fifity bucks each for nothing :)

Little Birdy was there too!! Holy Moly! Her performance was awesome mann!! It was really kick-ass! I took quite a few numbers of photo..this is my favourite one.

p/s: I took heaps of photos from that night. I know some of you probably have no idea who they are, but that’s OK. At least, I still have heaps of photos  for YOU!!! *yep! that’s just so cynthia*

Few photos of the guitarist from Eskimo Joe. He is awesome man. He plays so so so well, but I won’t hump him :P

Few things happend during the concert. I meet a gal, she seem very nice. She lost her friend somewhere, so I ended up together…chatting (screaming) over the loud music, dancing, and giggling. She also gave ‘evil look’ to other gals (bitches are more likely to describe these type of ppl) who wanna take over my ‘feng shui’ spot.

During the break, there was this guy trying to chat up wth me. ’Hello..[smile like a d*ckhead] do you know that you can’t take photos in the concert?’ Me: JOKING??? I acted I am not interested in the conversation.  He kept trying to chat up with me. I was acting cool ;) Turn out, he took his camera out from his pocket and non-stop taking photos!!!

See!!! What a cheap pick-up line! I am so used to it, ok?

These ppl clearly didn’t notice my Kian was standing with me allllllll night long, didnt they? pffft

Another nice photo *ahem*

And here you go!!!! KAV!!!!!!!!! The vocal/bass! He is so damn good! This Fremantle boy is hell awesome and fantastic!

From Sarah… This is Pressure…and my favorite Black Fingernails Red Wine!!!!

I screamed my lung out…I danced like nobody business..I was completely in my/their world.

It was complete relief from those stress and anxiety attacks from the past few days; and it was complete enjoyable moment.

The atmosphere was so ‘YEAH’.

I nearly cried for hell know what reasons. I was glad ‘it’ was over..I was excited the party was just getting started.. and the songs, music were getting hotter and hotter!!!

p/s: I did took 2 small video clips: Sarah and Black Fingernails Red Wine.

Enjoy and have a nice weekend! *mwah*
