Melbourne

Hello Melbourne ! Hello Girlfriends !!

Let’s wind back to January when I was in Melbourne.

Melbourne is a beautiful CITY. It is a real city and I love it so much. I can visit this place again and again in my life and I can’t never get enough.

As for my personal life documentary, especially those good people whom I meet in my life, I want to keep a diary here. It is something I don’t want to forget. And I want the moment to be remembered.

This is Yeok Hun, who gave me the Pink Tear (necklace); we knew each other from colleage time. She has never been changed, she is always at the front of fashion; and I ‘ve never been changed, too–always behind the fashion. :)

She know I am fan of pinky stuff; she helped me to buy a dress for Kian’s graduation ceremony, and I didn’t get time or chance to buy a necklace to go with it. Hun posted in the mail for me while I was having holiday in M’sia, and I got to wear it just on time for the special event. *tears*

What can I say, girl friend? *sob* (hao3 gan3 dong4)

This is Ade, another (old) girlfriend whom I know for long time. G! I feel like a piece of antique when I started thinking of how long we know each other.

But sometimes, you can’t simply judge a quality of friendship by how many years you know each other, it IS the quality, how well you know and you care for each other.

Oh Melbourne!!

xxoxx       xxoxx     xxxoxx

N* is the gal I used to work with.  She is very very inspiring.

She is very good in pharmaceutical and clinical knowledge and she selfishless taught me so much at work; She helped me to see what I’ve got in me. Without her, I wouldn’t be able to tell what’s my capability.

In the long run, I know exactly what I want to be be when I am in the profession. I am so determined to break the culture of being a drug dispenser. I don’t want just wear a plain white coat, standing behind the dispensary. I want to be the hot (hopefully cute too :) ) pharmer, do everything I can, other than helping people, yet make other people smile and feel happy. Speaking of the hot and cute thingy, I take my words back. I need to lose 10kilos before  I can fit in those nice clothes. *sigh*

Melbourne, eh?

Thank you, Melbourne! Thank you. Girlfriends!!

Melbourne: NAPSA Congress Day 6

Me and Sophia (Tazzie) did a presentation in the arvo. We used approximately 100 photos I took, playing ‘Chasing Cars’ by Snow Patrol.  Seeing everyone having fun with it…I just couldn’t help to stop my tears from falling.

I. Miss. You. All.

Last night of the Congress– GALA BALL.

The first two photos meant to be for Kian only. But since they turn out OK, might as well. Do you like my dress? It is Kian’s choice. ;)

I hardly find myself in group photos. I mean, I didn’t manage to take much photos with a group of people, AND I am quite short to be seen.

See this photo..I appear to be superb short among these blokes. This is acceptable for me, because I am short.

I also look so short among these students from New Zealand. Ok lar..maybe they eat different type of rice. =.=”’

But NO WAY!!!!!!! I am really short even standing among people who eat the same rice!!! Aw man!!!!!!! This is so not OK. *sob* I am really that short meh? But whatever it is, I am happy. :) I just like whinging for nothing.

Lotsa photos with lovely people I meet from all over….

The very last self-taking photo of me, as a memory of being the photographer, standing infront of the wardrobe mirror which is highly hung above my eye level.  :)

Don’t laugh at people height, ’cause karma will bite back. ;P

Melbourne: NAPSA Congress Day 5

Note: Back in Perth now. Flying off again before another sunset. My sickness can’t somehow overtake my happyness :)

Nothing much happening on Day 5. I sneak out to town with Micheal, getting my bank card done. Lucky for me  because there is nothing much to show, but unlucky for you ‘cos there is nothing much to see. *ngek* :P

Trivia Night:

WAPSA boys

Trivia night is like a quiz night. They asked you questions..and people worked in group, figuring out the answer.

I am not very into this type of activity. And my groupmates were kinda slow as we were sitting way behind the International Hall.

One of my friend asked me to ‘peep’ some answers from other tables while I am on duty–taking photos. Turn out, I saw more wrong answers than anything else!!! Hahah

matt
I left the place abit early as I was all in the mood sorting out photos… as usual. It was certainly one of the best quite alcohol free night of Congress.

Melbourne: NAPSA Congress Day 4

This is the ONLY photo I took when I was introduced to everyone. Broke (NAPSA President) inroduced me to everyone, she invited me to the stage as well. I was so shy. *cough* I felt I am so tiny, and I didn’t know how to respond. Just when everyone eyed on me, I took my camera out and quickly captured that moment. Yeah! That’s why most of them were giggling. :)

Wondering if anyone keep the photo of me standing on the stage with Broke?

Another Parnimal [TM] session– The PUP CRAWL~!

pub crawl

It didn’t started so well as I realised I lost my bank card somewhere few minutes before pub touring. It took at least half an hour to contact my bank. But it was all sorted, and I could even collect my bank the next day! How cool is that? I love Melbourne for this reason, too. :P

All thanks go to Micheal for helping me. I nearly gave up going if he didn’t come along. Cheers buddy, we catch up at The Deen when I finish my holiday.

Oh yeah!! One more thing!! When people asked me: “why are you running late?” I told them: ‘I lost my bank card’. (I tried to hide my miserable-ness I’m sure).

You know what? These bunch of people replied me: “Do you want me to LEND you some money?”

WHAT THE TOOOOOT??

Lend me money???? TOOOOOT lar!!!

I expect more reasonable, more empatized, more sympathized, more civilized answer like this:

” OH Cynth..I am sorry… (you don’t need to feel soory one actually).. CAN I BUY YOU A DRINK???”

This answer is more human friendly. Right? Lend me money??? TOOOOOOT !!!! :D

Just before you go on thinking this and that, I don’t support alcoholism and neither workship hang-over. I was very well controlled. Sophia thinks I look great too!! :)

By the way… Last thing!!! 24th Jan 2007, approximately 9pm.

If you hear or see a tiny lady running (in a straight line) at Lygon Street, Melbourne, screaming: “RUN!! FORREST!! RUN!!”

Yep. I was me. :P

Melbourne: NAPSA Congress Day 3

First comes first, NAPSA Congress is not just all about party, we did have some brainstorming lectures and debate sessions as well. Yeah, why I bother mentioning this? neh…in case you think I am all that Parnimal [TM]* ^.^

I took countless photos of speakers. And I deleted countless amount of not-so-nice photos. I am not pro-photographer, but I am one pro big-time wannabe. Putting my photos in Australian pharmacy megazine with my name on it..erm, they must be quality. :)

For speakers themselves only, here are my TOP 3 favorite photos out of ~2 Gig of photos [!!!!]

There are few things I looked at thru’out the process of selecting photos. Firstly,I want the people ‘fit’ in nicely in the frame–no missing head, arm, or whatsoever.

nadz

Secondly, I want a almost-perfect facial expression of the speaker. This is very significant for me (personally) in order to derive the personality of the speaker and so thus the atmosphere of the Congress.

nadz

But damn it! Most of the speakers are not cooperative enough. They were all busy looking at their notes and forgetting to look at the little camera friend here–me; or they had too much facial expressions (& body language) that made me taking photos all the time, turn out, I had to go thru’ gazillion photos for some ppl. Pffft.

prof

Anyway…back to the funimal*[TM] part. Shall we?

THE TOGA PARTY!!!!

This is my very very first Toga party, and I was really really excited. I love dressing up party like this! :)

WAPSA in orange/mandarin. Erm..I must carefully ‘wrap’myself in this color, otherwise I would end up look like a monk.

Toga Party

Yellow and Violet. Nice…

Baby blue. Sweetness [of the color, not people] :D

PINK!! Hot and gawwwwwgeous~!!!! :P

Me with Suyi.

suyi

I just couldn’t help taking heaps of photos of myself in bathroom so I can show ALL of them to Kian. I had been taking photos for everyone, and at the end I realise I don’t have much photo myself in big group. *sob*

Dragged Micheal (from WAPSA) in as well…my drinking buddy.

Cheerio~! It is already at Day 3!!! You are half way there :)

Melbourne: NAPSA Congress Day 2

Hey people ! No matter you like it or not, I will ‘die die’ post up ALL the NAPSA Congress. I love it so much. Oh well, you knew that–if I am not able to compose a great article, but I still have great photos! :D

Day 2 was a free day. Heading down to Vodaphone Arena. Watching Australia Open.

I took thousand of photos with my s3. These are parts of them.

Yeah..look at the sequnces of this looser stroking his ball. :P [ Roger Federer IS the only champ..so naturally the rest are the loosers, right? You don’t call looser pseudo-champ, would ya?] Anyhoo…I was so ill yesterday, otherwise I would make my way down to Melbourne taking some photos of that champ. Argh~!Is OK, doesn’t bother me. Is not Ricky Gervais anyway.

See this looser in actions……

Let me introduce: TOMMY HAAS!!!!

Whoah!!! He is sooo …..HOT?

Maybe? SEE! What is he touchin/comforting in public? :D Hahaha

I know. That is brilliant eh? How cool is that? :)

Dinner at Lygon St. The retaurants businessman were so competitive getting customers along the street, it kinda freak me out. Bloody tourist destination. The food sucks big time too!!!

This is Rhyan*, who got me the title of official photographer. This was the moment we meet.

Me in Melbourne tram…heading to Crown.

Parrrrrtyyyyy!!!

and guess what?

“1 missed call–Mum”

Classic!!!! :)

Melbourne: NAPSA Congress Day 1

NAPSA Congress was a blast! I must say this again and again, am I? ;D

It was awesome! I meet heaps of heaps of great druggie students all over Australia. Oh well, that’s just part of the fun, really.

I haven’t mention the parties, pub crawl, brain storming lectures [that sometimes can put me into my sleep]…

and ME!! Being the official photographer for the Congress!!! *happy*

the official photographer--me!! :)

I was all sexcited being the photographer, as you all know how much I can come on my own art works and all that. But, the end result..kinda suckx.

I ended up with superb sore neck and shoulder, and I am so tired carring my camera around all day. (UH!)

Yeah, being official photographer for not getting paid, can be quite suckky too. But, I am all happy. I can simply walk around taking photos like no body business, and work as if I am the ‘real’ photographer.. The feeling is simply priceless even I don’t get to paid a penny or not even been given a free T-shirt. :)

Yeah….taking photos for everyone..seeing their smiling faces all over and over again.. It is worth it! Best. Moment. Eva.

WAPSA

Lotsa people asked me: how did you get into that job?

with laine

It was a plain dumb luck. I think. Went out dinner one night at Lygon St, meet a random NAPSA delegate Rhyan from NAPSA Publication. I didn’t know what to say …in order to keep the conversation going, I showed him my photos…and he offered me the job, and I said YES without any second thought. Simple as that. :)

with laura

I took more than few tousands of photos and these are just the ‘few’photos from the first night–welcome party.

I set up the self-timing thingy…and happend to be a gal walking right passed without realising us self-taking photo.

Check out these people shocking scraeming faces!!!! Hahahahah!! Awesome mannn! [side note: the gal in yellow seriously got shocked till her arse off. Not quite funny, really]

OOOOIIIII!!!

Now! This is much better~! :D

much betta!

I am wondering if anyone else from NAPSA have me in their photos? I have very limited photos with me in there. If there is, can you please send a copy for me please? Thanks. I sincerely appreciate it.

Send me an email via ‘CONTACT’ and I will reply ASAP.

Cheers!
