I visited my family dentist, Dr. Foo while I was back home. When I said family dentist meaning she looks after EVERYONE’ teeth in my family–nana (grandma), dad, mum, brothers, sister, aunties, uncles etc etc. *Look! So many teeth here!*

I always get fascinated when I visit local dentist or doctor, especially when I see those huge wooden signboard with Chinese characters being engraved and painted in gold (colour). The Chinese characters and phrase are the combination of Chinese art, medicine and the meaning of saving people lives. Very fascinating!
When I was a little girl, every visits to a GP or dentist, I told myself I wanted to be one of them : saving people lives; If I run my own clinic, I get to keep those art work as well!
But I wasn’t very sure if I would like it at that time as I quite oftenly get put off by the chemical smell/odour. Surprise! Suprise! Now, I am working in pharmacies.

This is Dr. Foo. She is one of the rellos from my dad’s side of family. [p/s: We are Hakka. Not Hainamese. ]
Dr. Foo is always very pleased and impressed when she check my teeth. She always say: very nice and clean teeth you ‘ve got here, it seem like you just got your teeth cleaned yesterday. Yeah, remember I have Obsessive-Complusive Disorder? I like everything nice and clean, including my teeth. By the way, I only get to visit her every 2-3 years when I get the chance to go home.

All smiling before tooth extraction.
This trip was more than regular dental check and cleaning. One of my wisdom teeth needed to be extracted. See how that little fello is not growing straight?

Having dental tooth extracted when I was supposed to enjoy my holiday was not much fun. But I can deal with it.
I had all sort pain killers ready– from non-opioid, anti-inflammatory till hardcore pain killer.
I desperately needed to reduce the pain as much as I could, so I won’t miss out all the yummie food.
Dr. Foo gave 2 injections of local anaesthetics; gosh!!! They tasted very bitter !! They might look like Vodka, taste wise? Nah nah! *shudder*
Dr. Foo in action. Patient is my nana

The surgical took less than 25 minutes. The timing was similiar to the previous procedure many years ago.
My dentist thinks I am very ‘brave’ and I do well (as usual). I cheeckily answered: “Oh you see.. we both have the same family name, I mustta get some your gene somewhere. ” She was all smiling.
Ta dahhhhhh~!!! This is my wisdom tooth! It is a such a big chunck of tooth I must say. Bigger wiser?

I asked Dr. Foo to leave the stiches slightly abit longer than usual as I won’t be able to make it for another visit. I had this surgical 3 days before I flying back to Perth. Kian was the one to remove them..oh well, he had no choice, he had to do it

I requested my brother, Mengjin korkor to take me for lunch. I wanted to eat something nice food while the local anaesthetic was still working. (kor, as in older brother; he is youger than me. Everyone in the family call him kor because he is the eldest son in my family)
kor: “can you please hurry up taking photos?”
me: “hurry-up-ING lah!!!!!” I have toothache!!”

me: ” Ok, I am done. You can eat now. Oh yeah! remember I have toothache. Be nice to me! Leave some food for me.” ;P
kor: ” erm.. I thought you would talk less if you have toothache? Anyway, whoever move faster get to eat first.” *stick the tongue out*
me think: I wish I can shut up at one point, too(!!!)

Erm.. look at the shushi platter, this is reason why he wanted to have them all. =_=”’

Kor ordered some solid food for himself..

and some semi-solid toufoo for me

I was all smiling…just like before I got my tooth out. And kor was all happy too, cause I didn’t get to eat that much.
