Laydies Thingz

Old friend, Dinner and Girly Thing

My old friend Miza is back in Town last Friday due to work schedule. Hoooray!
I had a bad bad day at work on Friday and I am still trying to get over it. Anyhoo, nothing can stop me from seeing my friend, chilling out and relax. ;) *yeah, always think at the brightside*

It was Friday night. The City obviously was packed with people. Plus, with my very limited driving skill and luck, I wasn’t very positive that I would be able to get a parking lot in the City. So, I took Miza to (A)Lure at Burswood. The restaurant is called (A)Lure, funky huh? How you bloody pronounce this (A)Lure thing? a?A? or.. ??

We took some photos over the dinner.
Miza was modelling for abit when she was in KL. Naturally, she is very good at this ‘posing’ fink.

Me, on the other hand, thou I like my cameras and photos.. I still fink that I am a geek that can only stand or sit still, and smile to the lense. Pretty much like a ‘tourist’ or prisoner minus the sunshine smile. ;)

The most ‘creative’ thing I can think off to make my photo interesting is.. wearing my scarf. Boring(!!)

The dinner was fabulous. The catch-up was good, as usual.
We thought we might be heading down to some local pub or so to grab a drink, turn out, we both cant be bothered. Miza invited me to go back to her place, so we can have a longer chat. Hehe…we girls can really talk, huh?

So yeah, I was talking about this cosmetic and make-up thing. Like, how ppl manage to do this colour, that colour. I get abit annoyed the fact that there was one time, my boss suggested to me that he can get the cosmetic artist to ‘do’ my face once a week. I was practically WT*. I wear sun cream before I go to work, does it count? ;)

Miza decided to show me some simple tricks. There she went… she took all the bits and pieces she got with her… I nearly got blown away. I was ‘WOW’ here and there all the time. There were just so many things! Too overwhelming ;)

She painted my left eye, and I did my right eye. Foundation. Eye brows. Lips. Hair. etc. etc.

TA DAH!!!! Did I just freak you out?

p/s: I freak myself out thou. Just a bit. Freaking unbelieveable. =.=”’

Acrylic Nails

I chew my nails when I’m stressed. Or it is my bad habbit since I was young. I tried almost every products and methods to stop myself from chewing nails, but nah, it is just not happening. It is an on-off habbit. I don’t chew nails on Summer and Winter holiday, yeah..’cos nothing much to stress about during happy holiday. I chew almost everything off when I have exams coming up.

Wherever, whenever..just like those smokers–you light up a ciggi when you are waiting for a people/cab, stressing out,  watching movie (provided ciggarate is not banned in cinema).. And yeah..restless leg syndrome is abit like that as well-these ppl shake their leg ALL the time. The later is more like a pathological and medical problem.

Those were my nails when I gone crazy. It can be as short as few milimeters!! It is very painful. It stings when I wash my hands, or even when I dry my hand under drier. It is like some kinda of neuroceptic pain.  I always deeply regreted it after.. but my guilt doesn’t stop me from chewing nails either. *I don’t understand myself either*

My excuse is: alas! Better than those people who addict to nicotine or dexy, riiight? ;) *alasan*

For this point of time, before I start chewing my nails again. [Yeah, I’m stressing out over here.] So, I decided to put on whole set of acrylic nails (again). I tried this before, its efficacy sustained abit longer. At least, unlike those chemical product, man! They are so bitter!! Some of them even contain chemical that make you nausea!! Too bad, I get used to the taste pretty quickly. *sigh*

So, I am the one started setting fire on my own arse, right? Therefore, I have to tanggung all the consequences by myself. One of the shitty things is, I can’t type on mobile phone keypad as much I usually do. *cheepiet* It is abit painful, and really, I don’t want to break my newly put on acrylic nail. If the new fake nail drops off, the pain lagi kill me!

Another problem is: wearing and removing  contact lenses is a b*tch! Look at this photo…and if you do wear contact lenses..imagine there is a piece of plastic contacting your cornea… dot dot dot. Geli right?

Anyhoo, when I have acrylic nail one, it certainly ‘upgrade’ me abit. I can say this to Kian: Ney! can you throw the rubbish pls, I have my acrylic nails on. Can you pls do my dishes pls? Can you pls help me to do this and that, this and that pls..and that! and that! and this…..yeah, because I have acrylic nails, honey. *insert puppy eyes* :P

At the end of the day, I really don’t like the idea of chewing nail and then using acrylic nails to fix this problem of mine. This scenario is exactly like those ppl who abuse drugs, and have had to go to rehad to get rid of that sh*t. Sigh..at the end of the day, if I won’t want to go thru’ this problem, why on earth, Cynth, you started at the first place? am asking myself.

*itchy arse*

Manda* ’s Hen’s Night

Hello Hello Hello! I did mention I was attending a hardcore party, didn’t I? Oh! It wasn’t just hardcore..it is pfft hardc#ck too!!! ;)  I had an fabuloutastic night out.  I must say this is a cultural-shockingly eye-opening experience. It was so WOW and WHOAAA!!

I was invited to a Hen Night, which is also refered as Bachelorette party. *wink* very first Hen Night in my life. Manda* is soon-to-be Mrs. John the Crazy Pharmacist.

Oops, before showing you all the pictures, I must shamelessly show off my new dress. Hey! Please allow me to do so, can? This is my 2nd dress since 5 years ago. I bought this at bargain shopping for very very affordably low price! I’m so happy. Nice? (i’m asking you to look at my dress, not something else!)

Let’s get the party start, shall we?

The bride-to-be, Manda* and close friends.

The SR gals. :)

Me and Ammo*

And Rhee*

A bouqutte flower that all the bride-to-be deserved.

Cheeckily… If you haven’t notice naughty part.

Come on! It is a BACHELORETTE PARTY!!! :) Girls just wanna have fun~!

The SR gals with Manda. She looks absolutely gorgeous.

The party started off with game and music. Turn out in the middle of nowhere, there was an entertainer showing up. *.^ Oh well, You know huh. I tell you, my heart was pumping like madcow. Undirectedly. In case you asking, nah! it IS very small. :)

The second game was ‘Pin The Cucumber On The Hunk’. Hehe.. the name says it all.

G*, Manda*’s cousin(?) who organised the whole event did a very good job. We all had so much fun from the beginning till the end of the event. one thing I must mention, G* has this endless energy, smile and spirit that you would love to get close with. That charisma–priceless!

The game is basically like this, they make you wear a eye mask, and turn you around.

Oh! That plastic thingy…is cucumber.

And you stick the cucumber to the BEST spot. ;)  The most accurate one wins the price.

Guess what? I am the WINNER~!! Woohoo~!  How cool is that? :D

This hunk rocks! ;)

The second game was cutting the best shape of *cough cough* with the cucumber.

Seriously, this is not an easy task. I don’t think Jamie Oliver can do any better than this. ;)

The last game was…see for yourself. :) Hint: Slimmey rubber ballon!

OK. I need to grow UP! I appeared to be soooo short among everyone. This is Karma or what? I must ask my mum.

Me and Manda*, the bride-to-be.

Hey Manda*! Thanks for your invitation. It is a fantastic night. I would never ever forget this. Good luck with the wedding! Don’t get stressed out! Wish you and John the Crazy Pharmacist living happily ever after.*mwah*

John the Crazy Pharmacist!!!! You lucky bastard!!!!!!!!! :D

Alternative Hair Treatment

Aw man! I realised in my hair has been discoloured abit lately. The end root of the hair has become brownish, and in texture wise, they are unusually rough. *sob sob* This is because I go swimming 2-3 times a week, and I swim an-hour for each session. Long term exposure my hair to chlorinated-pool ruinning my hair~! argh! Bloody chlorine! =(

I musta admit: I love my hair. :)
I can shamelessly show off my smooth and silky hair in the middle of nowhere. If I think you are kind enough and your hand is clean, I would generous enough to let you feel my hair. Yes, that’s how crazy I am when I talk about my hair. =)

I have a reason for it thou. *ahem* I didn’t get to keep long hair when I lived with my parents, or to be more specific, when I was in back home. My dad thinks short hair is better, and the weather back home is humid (and crazy). Long hair wasn’t appropriate for me because I was a girl scout, I was constantly involved in all sort of out-door, in-jungle and in-forest activities. So, obviously short hair was a better choice back then.

Looking at my discoloured hair…Not happy! The simple solution is to chop the end bit off. But, there is always a method to resolve it before using cutting them off.

You need 2 tablets of dispersible or soluble aspirin.

And some tomatoes–approximately 2-3, depend the size. Blend them into juice.
Simply disperse the aspirin tablets in the freshly blended tomato juice.
Pre-shampoo hair then carefully wet the hair with tomato juice and aspirin mixture; leave it for 10-15 minutes.

Yeah lah! I know lah! My hair look like spaghetti bolognese. =)

Rinse off the tomato residues ;P, shampoo and conditioner hair as usual.

The result:

Erm, you probably can’t see it clearly here. But I tell you, 80% of the black colour has been restored. I am soooo happy!!! The root is not rough anymore. I am soooo soooo HAPPY!

I don’t know how to explain the mechanism of action of the tomato+aspirin; anyway, I was told by a hair-dresser, this is what she does. She uses this method to get rid of excessive chlorine (excessive bleaching) in the hair. It works fabulously! I highly recommend to everyone =)

Cheerio!

QGT with Elaine

Elaine is one of my girl friend whom I really close with. By the way, QGT means Quality Girls Time =)

Elaine is working for Singapore Airline at the moment. Bah, looking at her gorgeous face and body, u know her occupation at SIA lah. =) She is very tall. Tall as in.. Hmm.. I kinda half-folded my body while taking this picture to hide my ‘body length’. Tee hee hee
I have plenty of friends who visiting Perth on many occasions, most of the time, I will try to make sometimes off to see them because our precious friendship. Elaine is definitely one of them.

(Note: friend means.. those that are really appreciate you, and cheerish the friendship; Not like those who only call you when they were dumbed by their boyfriend. And won’t even bother to call you when she (or they) find a new boyfriend. That is sooo NOT a friend. I don’t call that friend. Just a PIK!!! PIK=Person-I-Know. That’s all. )

Elaine knew my busy schedule on Saturday, therefore she invited me to spend the night in Sheraton Hotel once she touched down to Perth. WoooHooo!! I got the first cuddle! :)

We both tucked our feet in the thick blanket…chit chatting till 5AM in the morning for heaven sake!!! GIRLS QUALITY TIME myte! Only girls know this well. ^_^

We share plenty of experience since she left. She told me about her travelling experiences.. Gosh! It was sooo sooo exciting! It is so real and way better than just looking at the pictures itself. I told her about my blogging thingy, my work, my crazy moment in the night club where some Japanese cute chicks trying to flirt with Kian yet I was still very excited about it because this means MY bf is gold and desireable *bling*.. It was so so so cool.

Elaine is a genuine girl friend. It was 1001 time I could actually burst into tears seeing her leaving Perth again. Nahbeh! I don’t normally being so emotional one, I tell you. Although we didn’t spend much time, but all wonderful moment are well kept in my memory.

I sound kinda G. I know. But…. whatever. At this stage, I have more than a quality girl friend, so cheerish for me =)

My moment of Geisha

Girlfriend like this is inspiring =) Honestly speaking, I wonder how many products a lady/woman can use just to keep our face nice and smooth, more specifically… The whole cosmetic process is like an anti-againg war. I seriously have no idea. I need more girlfriends to help me in this battle–fight wrinkle, fight black-heads, fight…. er, I don’t even know what’s else to fight. =)

Oh yeah!!! Today is ’s birthday. Loong’s birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DUDE~!

…. and….hope this will freak you out.

^_^

Black-heads

I knew this was going to be painful, I knew I was going to cry after peeling of the strip from my nose…. I knew I was not and I am not coping well with the heat, I just know… But why on earth I am still doing it??

ARrrrrghhhhh~!!! I’m such a d*ckhead. *_*

Day out without the boys

Jo and me head down to the town over the sunny Sunday. Yes, just me and Jo. It was very girly and the boys are not included, strictly ;)

We went down to David Jones for light lunch. Honestly, David Jones absolutely was not the first choice for eating; we both were crave for cool and air-conditioned location. Mind you, the mercury hits 39 degrees on that day. We started with some bread–tandori chicken, yogurt, mint , fresh salad with Turkey bread topped with sesame seeds. It tasted ‘normal’ and way from Subway. The Turkey bread tastes like ordinary bread. Very unimpressive.
Jo ordered Spring rolls. They are very chuncky and have lotsa ingredients– chicken breast meay, capsicum, carrot, vermicilli and vegetables. They looked very marvelous, but again, we can’t expect Aussies make good Chinese spring rolls. can we?
I (stupid me) ordered fried rice. FYI, I am a big fan of fried rice. Sadly to say, David Jones served shitty fried rice. Ooooops! Did I just say shitty? I dont eat sh*t, k? =)
Jo described the fried rice is cooked using Maggi packet sauce. On top of that, the chef didn’t seem to fry properly and the tastes weren’t evenly distributed. I could taste MSG, sugar(?), salt, soy sauce clearly all over the place. Damn, I can do better fried rice.

Soon after lunch, we went shopping around. I did shop too, windowly =)

Here, I love to show you my favorite shop in Perth– Asia Tree. I’ve been to this shop for many many zillion times, but I only bought an item once. Honestly speaking, they are quite dear. Yea yeah, call me cheap skate.

Asia Tree sells a wide range of furniture collectively from Asia countries. Bed, storage, tables, chairs… all sort of antique furniture. They are fabulous!!!

I like the furniture department down at the basement of the store– it just feel like I just walking thru’ my grandaunty’s old house. Full of memories and smiles; quite oftenly we got lotsa home made sweet that kept us from disturbing those busy-chit-chatting aunties.

I love the silky towels displyed on the bed. Fine and classic.
Grandma’s basket. Nana used to place all her Chinese dumplings in this basket on lunar 5th May. Then we all would jump into the old car, looking for grandpa in the estate where he worked. I used to think the basket was huge, heavy and bulky when I was little, but soon I grow up, it seems so small, tiny and light–yet fulled of grandpa’s smile and great childhood stories.
Pictured wardrobe.

I’ve seen alot of those wardrobes in my mum’s relative house, however, we don’t have any of them. I love an old piece of wardrobe, or cupboard. When I was 8, there was an accident occured where dad’s shop was hitted by a car, driven by a drunk man. The upper part of the shop collapsed, and dad had to throw away quite a number of damaged items. I picked up an old cupboard that grand-dad left, and ‘patch’ a modern piece of wooden pile. There, my very first and personal bookshelf. I love it so much. Everytime I sit next to it, I can feel grand-dad pampering me. Bamboo storages… Gosh! If I have my own house, I love to have couple of them in every single rooms. Don’t ask me why.
Bamboo stick, another nice items to be used for home decorating. And trimmed bamboo bush in the garden. I used to grow bamboo plant with dad and every year before we moved to the shop lot, mum and I decorated lotsa lotsa Red Packets all over the bamboo plant. They look really great!!!

Hmmm.. I am wondering what tv show my mum and dad watching at home at this moment? Are both my grandpas are happy in heaven? What about popo? Did she receive my prayers?
