Recap 2009
2009! Holy Moly! What.a.year!
I don’t even know where should I start? (I need to pop a few propanolol before I read my 2009 diary)
1. Career path
Life working as a Licensed Pharmacist is pretty stressful, I reckon. Well, at least we need a lot more concentration while doing drugs. It is so much different from my intern life back in the good ol’ intern days. However, I always remind myself to smile all the time, and don’t forget my sense of humour (if I ever got one)
I have been working here and there. It is pretty interesting meeting so many people. Working 3 months in a country town in WA was an experience too. I am glad I did that.
2. Achievement(?)
Not sure if this is the right description. I don’t see these as achievement, but it is more like a learning curve for me.
I am very glad that I took up the role as Logistic Chairperson of NAPSA Congress Perth 2009 in January. It was amazing! I am very proud what I’d achieved, and I amazed myself that I could do THAT much. But of course without those helps from the Helpers, I don’t think the Organising Committees could organise a successful Congress. Thanks again!
I finished my term as Merchandise Officer while I attended 55th IPSF World Congress in Bali around July.
A few pieces of merchandises were organised: pins, polo-shirts, mortar and pestles. It was a pretty interesting experience but I don’t think I will get involved in near future for the time being.
Speaking of IPSF, a big thank go to PDL and PSWA for sponsoring my trip to Bali.
Leaders-in-Training program was something new to me, I enjoyed the friendship I’ve got more than the content of the course. First time attending IPSF Congress. GA was absolutely/somewhat pointless. Politically, diplomatically, anally painful. Thank god for those amazing friends I’ve meet! They brightened up those days in Bali. Next time when I go back to IPSF Congress, you know I am doing it for the friends .. and the drinks! *think Bintang* ^^
What other lessons I’ve learned? Oh! Never ever trusted those wankers who used to call you friend, but end up turning around and poke you with a knife. Worst, they pretended nothing had happened. seriously fhl.
I got elected as IPSF APRO (Asia Pacific Regional Office) Regional Project Officer (RPO). No biggie. Really. The title itself might scare you off but I am just doing my part as the new generation of young Pharmacist who want to get involved more. Yes, I am this innocent that I believe there’s a hope in our future. *shake head but yay me!*
I travelled to Sydney, attending Pharmacy Australia Congress (PAC) for more works on behalf of IPSF-APRO. It was fruitful but very tiring. Well, it is worth it. I hope.
All this while, I’ve spend more time emailing more than blogging. Fantabulous!
3. Holiday/Traveling
Kian and me traveled to Asia during May. We visited both East and West Malaysia. Mulu (Borneo) was the highlight! Freaking awesome!
Best thing about West Malaysia: food! Shopping was fantastic too! Ask Kian, he bought a lot clothes. He is the real shopaholic.
After Bali Congress in July, my family flew in Bali and see me. We spent almost a week together there in Bali. Having daddy, mummy and popo is one of best moments in my life. Daddy is a darling sweetheart because he paid for almost everything ! My mummy is super duper awesome. Popo is funny, she has endless of sense of humour. Best, mummy and popo are my drinking buddies.
I did a brief visit in Sydney while I was there for PAC. At the end of the day, I was so tired that I slept during the ferry ride. fml. I didn’t want to do heaps in Sydney as I want to save the best with Kian next time when I go there. Hehehe
Traveling is fun when it didn’t involve Congress and work. Nuff said.
3. Health.
I’m still the same. Apart from a few episodes of cold, asthma attack, severe allergic reaction and panic attack, I am still alive. Kicking. Thank gawd for that!
4. Relationship - I am still with Kian. (YAY!) 3 months till 9-years anniversary. Still counting and going strong. Don’t ask me when I am getting married. Ask him when he is popping THE question. But you know what, I feel like I am already married him. Everything he does, he makes me smile. *grin*
I am luckiest lady in this world. I love my Ney.
4.1 Family. I am blessed with an awesome family. Daddy, mummy, popo, brothers, sister [yes, I have a sister. She is freaking tall but I still love her, and always do], aunties, uncles, and all my cousins. You guys rock!
4.2. Friends - Friends from all walk of life. The list is as far as The Great Wall of China. I am blessed to have you all. A phone call, a helping hand, a smile, a bed to sleep, a bowl of rice, a listener, a hug, a kiss, a few drinks, an email, a Hello.. sometimes I wonder, what have I’d done to deserve you all? *emo*
Oh! One thing that I have mention over here: I finally get to see Fish Fish and Ed. Hooray!.
5 Sh*t happend
My car got stolen on 1st November when I went for a swim in Victoria Park, WA.
I was getting change in the shower room, an aboriginal teen stole the key from my bag and drove my car away. I bought my car for less than 24 months!! Thank God I have insurance, they’ve got me a brand new one. Phew
(In case you are wondering, NO,I didn’t pre-arrange this to happen. I have everything recorded in surveillance camera from the recreation park where I went. I am not that dodgy)
Misc: I was officially not sleeping in my own bed for more than 6 months in 2009.
I traveled to Victoria on December. I’ve landed a job here. (still a Pharmacist selling drugs).
We bought a house here and picked up my new car in Doncaster. Everything happened within 9 days. What a record.
Things happens so fast that I can’t even believe this. Buying a house wasn’t even in my 2009 To-Do List!
Here I am in the new place, new house, new car, new job and a new life. I am loving it!
2009 - PHEW~! Everything happened so quickly! I didn’t even get a chance to take a break.
2010 is going to be interesting.
I don’t have any big plans thou.
I need to save up more money ‘cos I pretty much dump all my money for the house.
I am hoping to travel a bit - say Korea in July, Slovenia/Romania/Germany in August, Singapore in November and Sarawak in December? Hopefully. Sigh. I need a money-printing machine. So depressing when I look at my bank account. Pathetically broke.
I am going to read more books! I will do more CE and gain more CE points! Yay for me! I am a nerd!
What else? Oh yes, I want to watch more historic and scientific documentaries.
Another thing, I am going to train myself to use my left hands for chopsticks. Something outta the blue that I want to do.
Anyway, I am all excited for 2010. I can’t wait to move forward and do more things in my life.
Thank you all for your New Year Good Luck wishes. Wish you all a Happy New Year and all the best for 2010!
Cheers!
Happy New Year!
May the new year bring something to bigger and better to you. *hugs*
Day Dreamer: Thanks! all the best for 2010 yourself. *kisses*
