Kuala Lumpur#4: Food, Friends, Fun and more Food
*An update! Yay!*
I promised myself that I will complete my ALL my travel blog in 2009 before 2010. I know, One more month-ish till Christmas. I have one more (maybe none) KL post, I still haven’t sort out photos from Sydney trip from October. Worst, I am going to Melbourne next month. =.=!!!!
Apart from meeting with Peter and Wuan, I managed to catch up with Suanie as well. Suanie is always been Suanie
She cracks me up all the time.

In order to make my dining and travelling experience in Kuala Lumpur an unforgettable one, my friends had been awesomely superb to bring me around everywhere for all kind of cuisine.
First stop: some Japanese restaurant.
It was my personal yet rather strange request for Japanese food in KL. See, I had been travelling in Bali for 3 weeks before I landed in KL. I didn’t get to eat a lot of ‘healthy’ food. Hence, I asked for Japanese food for a change - seemingly believed/misconcepted that Japanese sushi are one of the healthy food on the menu when deep fried soft shelve crab sushi is served.
Look! More sushi!
At the end, I still prefer eel sushi.
After a massive lunch, Mel took me to Baskin Robin’s! Hooooooray!
There’s always room for dessert, okay?
I have Green Tea Ice-cream everytime I go to BR. Everytime. Everywhere. Literally.
BR Green Tea Ice-Cream is a must especially when I travel oversea by myself - this reminds me of home and Kian.
Next stop:
Durian at Durian SS2 ![]()
I never had been a huge fan of durian, but for some reasons, I wanted to have durian. It was more likely a mission to have cheap durian? I don’t know. Think durian in Perth: AUD16.00/kg *shake head*
It was a freaking awesome night to have close friends around. Beside durians, some old shool mates rocked up at SS2 to catch up too. Holy moly!!
The Ng brothers advised us not to drink alcohol after durian session. Apparently some one died from alcohol+durian combination.
From my personal experience: I am still alive [clinically tested and proven]
Next 24 hours:
Winn picked me up - Yay!
Off we went somewhere for noodles. That was a HUGE breakfast. The noodle was very carbohydrately smooth. You know, if you are a carb person, you get the drift.
I personally fancy the crispy fish heaps! nomnomnom
At night, I had dinner with my relatives. Aunty was kind enough to organise a big meal for us.
Fish head dinner.
Literally, fish head only

I kid you not. They are fish heads, not the entire fish.
Oh, this is something I should mention. I reckon it is funny.
Before we started eating, Kian rang at the very right moment.
“Where are you now?”
“Having dinner with family somewhere in KL…”
“Aren’t you suppose to be in the airport.. You are flying home tonight, aren’t you?”
“WHAT THE?? AM I?? SUPPOSE TO BE IN THE AIRPORT, LIKE NOW????”
(looking at the fish heads - fml)
“Honey, I thought I am flying home TOMORROW, right? Can you check my email, please”
[no mood to eat, fml. no mood to eat, fml]
“Oh yeah, indeed. You are flying tomorrow. Not today.”
WHAT THE!!!!!!!!!????

That nearly cause me an episode of heart attack!!!
Without thinking twice, I’ve got my uncle to order some beers ^^
I.need.alcohol.stat!!!!!! and this was not an excuse! Ha!
We hung out at my relatives’s place. It was awesome. I wish I could spend more time with them, espcialy with my sister. nvm. always next time.
Eddy texted, he was about to arrive! woohoo! earlier than what I was told. yay!

Huai Bin picked me up in his cab. We headed off to Jalan Alor for supper! more food!
It was great finally see Eddy and FF! Yay! Lovely to meet you all. See you next year!

We hang up till very late. I woke up after less than 2 hous of sleep because we had a mission.
Andy rang and woke the whole village of people up!
WHAT MISSION? Bak Kut Teh (BKT) in Klang! *awesomeness*
[Huai Bin did a post for this session, CLICK HERE

My life is awesome beause of you people and I heart you all very much *grin*
This is not an ordinary BKT eating establishment where they serve a bowl of boiling soup in the centre of the table, and everyone can dig their chopsticks in the soup, sharing body fluid, I mean, saliva

Well, not that much in this case. very minimum. But then again, we are Chinese. We grow up in this environment. I am still alive
Okay, back to the swine. They were very yummy!
I can’t emphasize enough this is one of the best BKT I’ve ever had.
I miss BKT.. and Claudine.
The place wasn’t humid and hot as the restaurant was (almost) fully air-conditioned. *bonus*
Heaven!

All happend within 48 hours in KL. Food, friends, family, and more food.
I *heart* Kuala Lumpur!
p/s: Ever since I got elected as Regional Project Officer of International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation-Asia Pacific Regional Office (IPSF-APRO) [what a mouthful], I’ve been an email-whore. There’s so much to do! But, I defnitely will get Sydney posts out! Promise! Read those words in my t-shirt !!
Smile
