Kuala Lumpur#1: Eat and Shop

Hello Everyone! Welcome to Kuala Lumpur !!!

After spending 3 weeks in Bali, I was very much looking forward to Kuala Lumpur (KL). I couldn’t wait to meet some friends whom I missed during our trip to KL on May 2009. Plus, I wanted to do the pork-trip again! And maybe, a bit of shopping. :)

Thanking @Claudineng for picking me up from the airport, having me over at her place. If you remember from old posts, Claudine is my oldest buddy. We know each other way before kindi, and probably when I was still in my nappies ;)

That very night, I suggested to the Ng(s) that we should pig out for Bak Kut Teh (BKT)

Holy cow! Look ney! Pork!!!!

One awesome dinner. :) *blurp*

The following day, we headed off to MidValley for both lunch and a little bit of shopping.
We met up Mel, a friend whom I met at the 55th IPSF World Congress, Bali.

Claudine knows me the best. She took me to Little Penang Cafe for local hawker cuisine. *craving*
Lady and gentleman, let me present:

Hokkien Mee

Curry Mee (obviously)

Char Kueh Tiaw (’see hum’ (clam) check. tiger prawns, check. loads of bean sprouts, check. ‘wok hei’, check )

Claudine and Mel ordered some other items on menu which I don’t know what they called.
They were like, “EAT! You don’t get to eat this in Perth! Eat!”

Okay! I EAT! ^^

Check out the chendol - oh.my.god. I likey! ^^

It was Monster Sale when at that time. Things were cheap!  Yay!
Aussie Dollar was doing quite well at that time. Cheaps stuff became cheaper!!! double yay-ness for me!! :)

I must say, shopping is far more better comparing to Bali. However, I must say that I strongly dislike Malaysian saleperson for being dishonest, dodgy(!) and lacking customer service.

When I was at Dorothy Perkins (Midvalley), the lady saleperson was going to charge me full price for the top that on discounted line - very very dodgy.

We went to G2000 [male fashion department store] (again at Midvalley). I was there to buy some working clothes for Kian. It wasn’t hard to buy clothes for Kian even he wasn’t there. He gave me the measurement via text. I picked up almost a truck load of business clothes, “May I have everything over here for ’this’ size, please? if you don’t have those ones, I am happy to buy anything in that particular size!”

Wonderful innit? >.<

Guess what? The saleperson didn't even bothered to search around and say NO within a second. tmd! Don't make me swear, okay!? (ops! I just did it!)
(overall, not impressive at all)

I then went to G2000 [female fashion department store] - "Nice working clothes!" I told Claudine. They look definitely much better than chemist lapcoat. Guess what? No one even bothered to approach me. Not even a single "HI!"
TMD =.=!!

Claudine was like, "ah Huey, let's go some other shops lah! You won’t be able to fit those clothes in ‘cos your neh(s) [boobs] are big.”
heheheh.. I felt a bit better eventhou the salepersons didn’t great me. They probably think the same way as Claudine too *smile*

After shopping, I suggested Teow Chew porridge for that night.

Meal for two starving souls =)

The best item from the menu:
pork meat

pork blood, coagulated.

pork intestine!!!!!!!!11111

Best ever.

Toward the end the night, I realised I’d spent almost all my holiday money within 5-6 hours of shopping.

I didn’t know how much it cost me - bits and pieces. But hey, Thanks ney!! You are awesome!! ^^
Kian had to call the airline to upgrade my luggage for me too.

Guess what? It was just the FIRST day of my KL trip.

F.A.N.T.A.B.U.L.O.U.S!
