Family Holiday#3 Lunch at somewhere and Dinner at Jimbaran

Nothing was more exciting than having a father who decided to change my travelling schedule than anything else on earth. Blimey!

I was going to North, but dad decided to go South. He wanted to do something more culturally exciting. Great!
Here we go.. some local resident. [what the?]

and I kid you not.
Apparently visiting a local residency is like something customary. =.=!!

Mum even got me to sit at people house ‘corridor’ and take a tourity photo!

I don’t understand.

Right across the road, we saw an old craftman was caving a chunk of wood. A big one too!

Check this out : -

Take my words for it. The WHOLE Bali island looks like this.

I was still very ill at that time. I pretty much slept throughout my journey. Whenever I sort of got awaken by some noises, I opened my eyes. Guess what I see?

The bloody same thing!!

The only time I woke up was the time when daddy called for lunch.
“We are here for lunch!”

Oh yes! Lunch time. Yay!

But heck!!! “Daddy, can we don’t have rice again, please?”

I remember I’d never been a spoilt brat at home. But for this time, I actually started whinning like a big baby.
“Daddy.. you know what? RICE was serve three time daily, 7 days a week at the hotel! I seriously don’t want to eat rice anymore!” *insert puppy eyes*

Yes. I was THAT pathetic. For a carb-person like me, it was kinda the first time I say a big NO NO to rice!

I didn’t even feel like eating the local satay (kebab) though mum and nan enjoyed it.
I want PIZZA!!! I want PASTA!!! Don’t have? Okay! Gimme KFC! please!

After lunch, we hoped into the car. I went back to my beauty sleep.
Yes, again… I opened my eyes, seeing the same bloody thing in Bali.
Fantastic!

At night, we went to Jimbaran for dinner.

I was all excited at first because when I was at the student event, the seafood served at other restaurant was absolutely disgusting! I was told this would be a better place for seafood. Hence, I was much anticipated.

Turn out, I was wrong. wrong. wrong. (close eyes. shake head. deep breath)
The coconut looked huge compared to my B cups or whatever. They tasted sourly off. It wasn’t right - just put it in that way, okay?

Dad ordered a fair bit of seafood.
You would expect them to be cooked in variety ways…
NO! I was wrong either!

The prawn in some indon red chilli sauce

The lobster in some indon red chilli sauce

The fish in some indon red chilli sauce

The clams in some indon red chilli sauce

Everything on the table is RED.

The bill wasn’t cheap either, mate.
(approximately AUD160.00)

My conclusion: Do not go to Langsam’s Restaurant at Jimbaran Beach.
full stop.

Anyway, tonight is Friday night.

To end this entry in more cultural way just like how my dad liked it .. here’s some traditional dance photos

Oh yeah! I am so absolutely fantastically cultured by now.

Good night. xoxo
