Mulu Trip: Clearwater Cave and Wind Cave
Short Talk: Hello World! Sorry to keep you waiting. So many things had happend thesedays. May was happening. June was very good. July is superb. I can’t wait till August to come! I have almost 10 days left to catch up with my previous trip before I’m off for another big event. Gambateh!
This is our second day in Mulu.
Arrival Day: click here
First day at Gunung Mulu National Park: click here
The day started off with breakfast buffet at Royal Mulu Resort.
The weather was absolutely beautiful.
The breakfast buffet was awesome - they catered both cold and warm, Asian and Western cuisine ^^ I supposed when you are in holiday mood, everything seems awesomely beautiful anyway. Plus, I was travelling with Kian - my world was just 101% perfect

Breakfast: Round One, fight!
It had been ages since I had “dinner” for breakfast. You know - the whole high-carb thingy.

After breakie, we got ourselves organised.
This was our transport: LONG BOAT! (yay!)
I could just tell the day was getting better and better when all the members from our group greeting each other with big(ger) smile ^^ Strangers no more
[If you believe me, I’m actually quite shy
]

While waiting for other to go ‘onbard’, Kian took my photo.

TA DAH!!!!!!

The view was superbly breath-taking! - Seriously, you have to withness this yourself. No words from Oxford can describe how beautiful Mulu is.

Lady and Gentleman, this is our ‘Captain’
He has nice muscle and S =S lol

The first activity of the day: Visiting Long House and Iban Market
I was informed from the group that visitors can stay in the Long House for their holiday. Interesting? But hey, take my advice. Stay anywhere you like - make sure they are occupied with good food, comfy bed AND air-conditioned. You need the ‘civilisation’ to keep you going
So, this is the LONG HOUSE.
Part ONE.

Part TWO.

No part THREE T.T!!!
The market was a tiny one. The Ibans were selling plenty of sounvenirs.

I love those wooden souvenirs heaps!! Shame. I could’t buy heaps due to strict Aussie airport rules and regulations

We took a touristy photo with the local.

There were a few photographers who got one of the locals to pose for their photos. Apparently, she is the oldest in the entire Tribe.

We proceeded to our next stop after spending some Malaysia Ringgit in the market.

If you ever go to Mulu, it is not hard to spot this freelance tourguide. He is very funny, awesome sense of humour. Say HI to him if you bump into him

Here we were: Gua Air Jernih (Clearwater Cave) and Gua Angin (Wind Cave)

The trekking along Wind Cave was pretty cruisey and relaxing.

Nothing too challenging.
when Entily warned “WATCH OUT YOUR HEAD!”
Nah! It didn’t bother me either ’cause It never occured to me that I had to lower my head to avoid the massive stalactite

Yay! We made it! effortlessly
Haha!

Next stop:

Oh! I was told this was going to be the challenging one - we need to climb up aprroximately 200 steps in order to get to the Clearwater Cave.
I was like.. well, 200 only, right?

Before:

They were pretty steep.. @_@

You can tell from this tourist’s facial expression:

And finally!
YATTA!!! We all made it!

This is ONE-LEAF Tree - only available in Mulu. Specially presented for you, by me ![]()
[yeah, don’t say I don’t sayang you
]

We waited for abit for a massive group of tourists before we walked into the Clearwater Cave.
Entily (tourguide) started telling us an interesting story:
“Once upon a time.. there was this lady who lived in this Cave. She was about to marry the Prince.. but He broke up with her because she looked very old and ugly……”
Me whispering to Kian, cheeckily ” oh please honey! was there, really? such a stupid person?if I were the lady.. I would find find other people… ”
At this point, I could hear other group members were laughing a bit
Entily continued: “The lady was very upset… because she looked ugly. She then washed her face in this chamber.. and all of a sudden, she looked very young and pretty! And they were happily married….”
Everyone was ‘WHOAH’ !!!
Me: T_T What the… like that also can? oh please ‘lah’. Ermm.. but becoming young and pretty.. Interesting. ^^
At that moment, Entily pointed to the water:
“HERE!! Right here! The lady washed her face!!”
“OH REALLY???? HEY EVERYONE! QUICK! WASH YOUR FACE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!”
Haha! Everyone was almost laughing their heads off. I know, I am such a crack-up
Can’t help LOL

I even managed to get everyone to take a photo too! Ah! How nice =)

Entily also informed us, if you swim in the clearwater.. you body will get younger and younger…

I looked at the cave water.. thinking, erm.. this whole ‘young’ thingy was start getting creepy. What happend if I ended up do get younger.. the entire “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” was playing up.
ffs. fml. =_=

Anyway, here’s everyone: one big HAPPY ENDING

One of our very last photo before we went back to Miri.

If you are asking, would you do this again?
