Mulu Trip: Arrival Day
This is my first time to the Land of Hornbill, Sarawak, I also decided to make a trip to Mulu (Malaysia Borneo).
Remember sometimes ago when I visited Mammoth Cave and Lake Cave in South West Australia, Kian told me these caves are nothing in comparison to those in Mulu.
Here I went! I decided to withness another World Wonder myself.

We went on a small plane yet the flight was good. Don’t get panic - Look! I am still alive, writting the journal of my trip
The view from the plane:

I couldn’t help but get a bit teary when I saw this - especially having Kian sitting next to me. It was definitely a wonderful moment. *take a deep breath* Absolutely goregous.
The flight didn’t take very long to reach Mulu. I would say about 40 minutes if my memory serves me right.

The moment I stepped out the tiny airport. I saw alot of green(s), very clear view. First I thought, was I wearing my newly prescribed glasses? No. I wasn’t. It is mother nature.
and the air! It was wonderfully, crispyly clean and fresh!

Our resort pick-up was ready for us the moment we got off the airport.
In a little van, we got dropped off at Royal Mulu Resort.

“Ney! Look! Ibans dancing!”
“Ney! Look!! They are so gorgeous!!”
“Ney! Look!!! This is awesome !!! ”
Man. I am 100% certified tourist. T_T

We were welcomed with some cold drinks in bamboo. Eep! So happy!!

It was approximately 11am - we had a few hours to kill before we went to the Caves.
The weather was hot and humid - argh! One thing I absolutely can’t stand while I was holidaying in Borneo.
The minute I saw the pool - “Let’s go for a swim!!!”

After a few laps, it instantly put the smile back on my face. Bigger smile, I mean

We took some photos around the resort before we got picked up for lunch.

Here you go: me, the tourist and the famous tourist spot in Borneo.
*smile!!!*
Eeek! Your photos make me wanna cry too. Yes, Mulu was indeed a great place. I did not stay in the Resort, but with some budget place that cooked meal for us, using ingredient from the jungle, and no electricity after 6 pm. Arrgh~~ now I feel like dragging my Ah Pek to go there.
I love the look of Sarawak’s river intertwining with the jungle, my favorite view from the sky.
More more please~~~
It was a very emotional moment - like best view and best boyfriend - not that I have more than one anyway =P
We were thinking to stay at some budget place. But for RM20 difference.. We went for civilisation or to be more specific - abit luxury larr! After all, all day trekking, all I wanted is AIR-CON(ed) room!!!
I will post more - try to do some serious work here. so stressed. my work life is eating up soul. I need another holiday!! *sob*
xoxo
I was there two years ago and I really enjoy my time there. Hope to read more about your holiday there.
