NAPSA Congress Perth 2009 - Social Events

NAPSA Congress was kick started with the Rubix Cube Welcome Party…..

OK. It may sound cynical - but the highlights of the NAPSA Congress are the social events. But I must emphasize, this year’s Education Sessions were phenomenal! I swear to Buddha, it would take another 5 Congresses to beat Sherwin’s effort.[Educational Chairperson]

We had Dr Lisa Nissen, Amanda Bryce, Jeff Hughes(!!!), etc etc. Sorry. You see, it is not my problem for not being able to name all of them, because most of the time I was busy running in and out, organising!! Pathetically, the only time I actually got to sit inside the lecture theather was during the closing ceremony. Great!

Anyway, where was I? That’s right! NAPSA Congress was kick started with the Rubix Cube Welcome Party.

Everyone dressed up in 6 colours! Oh well, not all, but most of the people. And some guys were very creative, too! It think it was a ‘beautiful’ night and pretty much in Triple JJJ stylo.

Don’t worry, it is a fake willy.

I like the idea of dress-up party. But to dress myself up? I need plenty of effort and courange. I’m not very good at this.

I wanted to get a big box, and turn myself into a Rubix cube. It didn’t happend because I couldn’t be bovered after all the work. Dan said we could spare an hour to head off to the op shop, again, we both were busy as hell.

At the end, this is me:
*yawn*
A yellow and blue ribbon each, kindly sponsored by Carolyn. But I was very happy! At least something!! :)

You may ask, how Rubix Cube party works?
The rule is, you dress up in 6 colours, you swap those items with other people. At the end, you turn yourself into ONE colour.

Example:
Monty: Mate, I want your red shirt, can we swap. [monty might probably looking at turning himself into a red beast]
Danno: Yea, thats ok.

So, they exchanged their cloth.
At Rubix Cube Party, wear disposeable clothes/accesories, because when the effect of alcohol kicks in, you won’t be able to track down your precious belongings.

Exchange clothing is just part of the event. You may wish to rock up in different colour of socks, scarves, ribbons, stockings, hats, sunglasses.. very interesting.

So by the end of the night, you should be look like this:
“ka-chng!!!”

Cool eh?

Personally, my highlight of the night was making goon at the back.
Goon is an Australian slang word for cheap box wine.
We bought a few cartons of cheap wine, juices and soda. Mix all of them up. Very dodgy - but I like :)

NAPSA Congress Perth second social event: PHARMY ARMY PUBCRAWL
woo hoo!!!!

To begin with, Im not very comfortable getting myself to be one of the leaders. Im sh*t short, and people can’t see me. Enough said.

Chris Marr was kind enough to help me! It was such a huge relief! He is tall and very capable to get everyone organised.

Richard was another leader. But he only rocked up at second stop.

My whole impression of Pharmy Army is like this:

“Gimme twenty you Maggot!!!

I didn’t get the poor soul to do this. I gave Chris Marr the idea ;)

Personally, my impression of army/soldier/FBI/police is very smart, funny, not much do with the violence.
Say, Saving Private Ryan.. It was a good movie. Very touching. Enemy At the Gate wasn’t that bad, at least Jude Law is yummie!Police Academy series were great fun. Jason Bourne is absolutely amazing! I want to eat Matt Damon! ^.^

Yeah. I am always a big fan of pubcrawl. It is like keeping the spirit up - running from one pub to another, and don’t forget the drinking bit!

And most of the time, I try to stay at my very own principle: one pub, one drink.

Pubcrawl was held at Fremantle, by the way.
This is us, with some of the Green Team Pharmy Armies.

Another thing worth to mention, I managed to reunite with a few delegates whom I met at NAPSA Congress Melbourne 2007. Among one of them is Mena. That’s like 2 years ago! I think we can officially call ourselves Congress veteran, ey?

We started at Rosie, it is a pub that cater mostly for senior citizens. *cough* One old man was abit annoyed when we blew the whistle everywhere. He shouted at the crowd: if you blow the fxxking thing again, I’m gonna shaft the fxxking thing in your fxxking ass.”

Wow!! Easy man!!! The fact was, I was the one (among the other) who blew the whistle right behind him. But he was too tall to notice me.
Phew! I was glad I didn’t got my ass kicked man! or worst…?

After Rosie, we headed off to Norfolk, Lofty and then Orient.
We had a few security guards constantly checking out on us at Norfolk. Im not too sure if we drank too much or the man just wanted to check out some blonde chicks?
Lofty has nice view to offer.
Orient was the place we get our party mood abit higher! They played ‘Sex on Fire’!!!

And I kissed Kian (many many times) Shamelessly admit.

The last stop was at New Port. You know what! I was sooo sooo glad that I could make it to the last pub! My ultimate mission! Yay!
I didn’t quite remember if I keep my principle that night. I knew there was plenty of conversations…

Lotsa hugs, and more kisses..

I didn’t quite remember what was going on toward the end of the night…

And I certainly don’t recall I was doing this either.

Ops. One pub, one drink??? *roll eyes*
