Perth Royal Show ‘08

This post loooooong over due. *ops*

I didn’t really want to go to Perth Royal Show (PRS), honestly.
I don’t fancy the crowd, the noise, the heat.
There wasn’t much good food to munch, everything was severly overpriced.
So, I bet you asking me, why did you go to the show?

I admit, I enjoyed my friends and Kian’ company. Everywhere. Anywhere. It is the people that mean alot to me.

It was great that we talked about everything and we had such a great fun. We get to know each other more. friendships were formed and bonds grow stronger.
Kian bought a gigantic frankfruit (sausage or whatever they called).. it took us forever to finish one. It was coated with thick flour, and deep fried. I felt so terribly ‘heaty’ after. Not funny.
By the end of the night, all I wanted is a bunch of fresh vegetables!

I promised my friend I would go a ride with them. ONE ride. full stop.
I thought, alas… with my luck, and their girly choice, I don’t think they will pick those hardcore rides.
Turn out, the very very first ride was the award-winning Skywalker ride.

I swore to God! Never ever underestmated those girls who fancy pink colour. They have gut!

Can you see us up there? We were tumbled/swanged/fully spinned — gosh, whatever you describe. The feeling is exactly like placing yourself in a washer, but spinning at all angles!

The first thing I did when I came down is, I promised Kian that I will never ever go up anymore rides and I will come back in one-piece for him.

Shuddup. I know I am such a chicken, ok? ;)
But, what can I say? Peer pressure is a b*tch! lol

There were lotsa things to see.
We spotted this ‘fella’ too. Hey Uncle Wuching! This could your favourite!!!? =)

I like food decoration the best!
We went into an food exhibition — holy cow! I’ve never seen sooo many fruit cake before in my entire life.
Come on, man! Fruit cake means fruit cake… yet there were so many types of them! Crazy!

There were plenty of cute cup cakes too. And everything on the cakes are eateable. How cool is that?

My favourite creation of the day goes to ….. TAH DAH!!!!

NINTENDO DS LITE!!!
This geek got taste, man. and I like! :)

We went to another exhibition.. This time, it was all about Western Australia.
The food, the farm, the wine - It was fantastic!

I love the colours so much. The design was absolutely, absolutely, absolutely… I have no words for it. ;) But yeah, It was superb!
We saw boy/girl scouts every where.. turn out, I realised 2008 is The Year of the Scout!

Hey! guess what? I was a girl Scout when I was in junior high!
Back in old days, we weren’t given much choices - Scout, Girl Guide, Red Cross, and Navy.
I definitely won’t pick the last two options; I thought I was going to join the girls, but neh.. so at the end, I became a girl Scout! :)

I went camping few times a year! I went into the forrest, I chopped bamboo sticks, I bulit my tents!
I made a fire. I cooked egg in a big onion. And I survived!!

I was that boyish, eh?

I attended Jambori On The Air (JOTA) few years in a row. It was (it is still) always at Bukit Mertajam High School.
It was such a fun, memoriable learning journey for me. Not until the last JOTA I went, I was having too much fun and I fell down from the hill. I coudn’t recall what had happend to me. All I knew was, I was in an ambo, I was sent to a local hospital, and I got X-rayed.
I heard my friend Miza and other teammates were crying, and screaming my name. I thought I was going to die or something.
I woke up and I realised I was back in my home, in my bed.
Obviously, my dad was super duper not impressed.

I didn’t even dare to ask my dad if I could join Scouting after that. I rest my case and decided to do something else. That’s when I focus on Buddhist Youth activities. It had nothing to do with the ‘near death’ incident ;) I was an active member in the Youth already before. ;)

So yeah, I fell off from the hill. This could probably explain where my craziness came from. =.=!!!

When I look back those old photos.. I can only recall few names. Kak Aida was one of my very very close friends in junior. p/s: I ‘m still manage to speak the heavily ascented Bahasa Melayu (Malay Language), mind you. Very proud :)

So yeah, that’s it. Perth Royal Show and those days in Scouting.
What a life, eh?
