Gordon Ramsay’s stylo Dinner

Happy Belated Mid Autumn Festival! — Sorry. I am always a few minutes behind. :) The worst thing is, I thought TOMORROW is Mid Autumn.

Phew! What a week. There were so much going on in the past weeks. The ups and downs. The usual.
I was running late to work in the past few days. I had a solid reason for ONE day — U.S OPEN! I woke up extremely early just to watch Roger Federer. Oh! He won! Finally! I had to stay back to watch his speech for extra few minutes. Oh! I felt so happy for him. No other reasons why I was running few minutes late theseday — Heck! I want to find out who is the culprit to turn the clock few min quicker than usual. TMD. Oh well, nvm. :)

So, back to cooking. This receipe is extracted from The F Word.
Anytime, I prefer Ramsay’s receipe over Jamie Oliver. Gordon has simple and less complicated method to prepare a meal. Whereas for Oliver.. Seriously, half of the time I have no idea where to find the ingredients.

A few nights ago, I prepared one of the dish from The F word.
The ingredients:(clock wise)
pistachios, spinach chicken sausage (from Lenard’s), bacon, and chicken breast (slice half)

Step One: squeeze the chicken content from the sausage. Mix the pistachios with the content.

Wrap the mixture with the chicken breast.

Next, wrap the chicken breast content with the 2 lashes of bacon. Then wrap the lot up with cling wrap. Pour some sesame oil over too.

Lightly boil the lots in a gently boiled water.

Remove the lots from boiling water after 20 minutes.
Gently pan fry them on a non-stick pan. Turn them around slowly, in case the fat pig fell off from the chicken. I mean, the bacon. ;)

Cut the lots horizontally. And the end result should look like this:

TA DAHHH!!!

Serve with mash potato, and plenty of steam vegetable!
I prepared some gravy, but at the end, we didn’t use  any because chicken was fatty(ly) moist, and the flavour from bacon was simply delicious!

Give it ago.. I’m sure you will like it! :)

P/s: Go watch Mummy 3. It was awesome!

    Looks good. :)

If you feel like um, fattening the content there is a similar version you can make with cheese. I found the recipe on Oprah (I think) but I can’t be sure.

Day Dreamer: It is OK to boil the wrap. I understand chinese background and where we come from. Lotsa famous chefs do that, so I guess it is ok.

Gromit: At least I remember it is one of thesedays ;) Shame, I don’t remember my own brother’s birthday. I had to call him and asked him the exact date. And guess what? I’ve been doing this for donkey years!!! I’m clearly, not very good with dates. Hehe

Angie: Thats exciting! I’m going to try that next time. I love bacon!

Emperor Nasi Goreng: It’s alright.. too many culprits in the Great Wall.

dab: I know this is pretty much a non-vegan post, but hey! I will do some vegan post, next time, ok? Like.. bubble tea? ;)

Di: Thanks! Happy belated id-Autumn festival to you too! I see you had such a blast!

Choonie: Cheers! Did you have lotsa mooncakes?

Wooiaun: Sorry I disappoint you. I haven’t got a clue how to make one. Ha! I know how to buy one :)

Kak Mallan: We bought a piece of mooncake.. It was so expensive! The best thing is, my friend David and Chris brought TWO over!! Yay! I was sooo pleased! I happily sapu-ed everything! Niiice!
