November 2007

I’m BACK in Town !

From South West of West Australia road trip holiday. OH! To be more specific, we travelled down to Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River etc. I have more juicy details and yummie photos to feed you guys later.

The driving was great! I speed cautiously and carefully, bringing home with plenty of holiday-after thoughts.

what u looking at, dude? ;P

Here are some thoughts associated with the news I’ve seen when I was away.

That David Beckham fink.
If you watch his interview in telly, upon questioning session, he was asked: Do you like
Australia
? He answered, of course “Yes, I like it. I will bring my family back here.”
[So predictable.]
At that point when he replied, his smile was fake, with a slight blink of his eyes. Of course. You bloody liar! Of course Mr Beckham! 4 days trip in Aussie, you make 2.5million bucks thru’ selling armpit-smell like perfume.

And of course Mr Beckham, you do like to get your ass kicked by the Aussie B-league soccer players. 5-3 to be exact. Of course Mr Beckham.
One word to sum up the whole Beckham scenario: QUEER.

I watched i-Robot the other night.
I am wondering: if we all going to use a robot to work for us in the future..great! Robot doesn’t come with virus, herpes, Chlamydia so on and so forth. Surely, it won’t create any medical epidemic in the country. The best thing is, unlike the chink, they certainly won’t ruin your marriage. How cool is that? :)

River Cruise

Hello and Welcome! (in Jeremy Clarkson’s stylo J )

I joined my uni mates to our graduation river cruise on Friday. I took some photos from the boat while it cruised away from the Jetty. Here are some photos of Perth, and I hope you love it.

p/s: I hope this doesn’t sound so gay – the more I look into these photos, I realise the more I am actually in love with Perth. *blardy hell* Or.. it is just the photo? I don’t know.

effortlessly.

Sun Princess at Freo Harbour

Totally in love with the  mixture of colours.

Erm,I strongly disagree taking photos with camera flash on all the time. It spoils the quality. But, it was so dark in the boat, I seriously couldn’t do much.

One more thing, I expected more ‘human’ pictures that night’s action. Thanks go to my smart-arse, I accidentally set my camera to highest ISO ever, and most of the photos taken absorbed the ‘noise’ from the surrounding. Great!

Ok. Bad quality photos aside.

It was an awesome night. It wasn’t too heavy (ie, too much alcohol) or too light (ie, insufficient alcohol). What I actually have in mind all the time is: moi is heading down South for holiday!! Woohoo! Be right back in few days time.

You folks enjoy your week ahead!

I promise more photos and juicy juicy details before 31st December 2007. Cheers!!

Nearly killed

By boredom.

And. I. Kid. You. Not.

I finished exam on Monday. I went out with my girlfriends straight away. We gathered in a beautiful garden in a local cafe restaurant. We sat under the beautiful sky of Como. .

We chatted, laughed. It was a fantastic arvo.

Part of us continued our eating adventure at Hyatt Hotel – Yes! You guess it right - the buffet dinner.

                                                                                                crime-SIN!

Girls at the crime scene.

I well spent Tuesday with Kian and other boys, on the other hand. We had vegetarian lunch instead. I tried to catch up with as much people as I can. At that point, I think I do well.

So, this is how boredom nearly killed me:
I was left with ONE whole day on Wednesday by myself to chillax. I set the alarm clock, wanting myself to sleep in till
10a.m. Failed. I woke up at 730a.m instead and I managed to clean up the house just right lunch time.

By that time, I’ve re-watched few episodes of Top Gear. I laughed all over and over again. I read quarter of Clarkson’s. I cleaned the house kitchen, again. I kept myself busy by making FEW trips in and out just to throw 3 bags of rubbish. Seriously, I had no idea what else productive I can do. For pig’s sake, this is running me nut!

I looked at my diary, I realised I have to work on the next day.

Phew~! Thank Buddha! I’m so glad! I am working tomorrow. :)

p/s: it is just me, or what? i wundah.

School of Pharmacy ‘07

There you go! This is our group photo. Kalian-kalian of drug makers and drug dealers. Awesome!  ;)

whole lot of druggist. nice.

Can you spot moi in this photo?

Hint: Third row from front. First from left. Looking so ‘high’.

Woohoo! It is all over now. I am so pleased, excited, happy, abit emotional too.

p/s: Am so wanna whack my School for taking such a lousy quality of photo. Ta ma deh! Is not I don’t pay enough uni fee, right? beribu-ribu aussie ringgit..and this is all they can offer?? and of course, a piece of A4 sized ‘paper’ that my parents have been wanting to show off to the whole village of Bagan Serai. ;P

Nyonya Ponteh

We had Nyonya Ponteh the other night. I got this receipe from Hijackqueen awhile ago.

Fact, This is my second attempt. My first attempt wasn’t that good. The photos also didn’t turn out very clear. So, I decided to make another one, since I still have the bloody big jar of salted bean in my pantry. Great!

This is more like an aussie version due to the different ingredients used.

I’ve spoken to Jessie, I told her Yeo’s Salted Bean is super mega salty! You have no idea — try this: shuffle 10 pints of crystal sea salt into your mouth :)

This is Jessie’s orginal receipe:
Ingredients:

2 big and 20 small onions
6 cloves of garlic
2 whole chicken thigh - cut into pieces
1 whole strip of belly pork - cut into 2cm slices
2 tablespoon bean paste
Chinese mushrooms
Potatoes
Gula Melaka to taste

I did slight modifications. Those raw ingredients available from the local just don’t smell/taste the same.

1. 1 big onion (white), finely chopped. Don’t blend it.
2. 6 cloves of garlic or more depending how garlicky you like
3. 4 pieces of chicken thighs from Coles. Skin off.
4. 1 tablespoon bean paste, rinse the salty sauce off with water. AND 1 tablespoon of bean paste. p/s: don’t use the sauce from the jar. very very salty.
5. Chinese mushroom
6. Potatoes
7. Brown sugar if desireable

This is my end product: Ta dah~!!! :)

Take Jessie’s advice too..cook it in the morning. This allows the aroma and taste soaked into the ingredients. Fact, I actually cooked it the night before. Niiice

Enjoy cooking! :)

p/s: I made a dessert from Jessie’s receipe as well. Again, with some modifcation to taylor the local supply. See you soon! Cheers!
