It has been cold. Very cold.
Hey dude! You are currently reading an Aussie-based weblog; in case you are wondering why we are going thru’ Winter cold front in the middle of the year. ;)

We have to wrap ourselves with layers of clothes everyday. I don’t mind the cold weather, sometimes. Because: 1. Winter doesn’t last for very long. 2. The swimming pool is WELL heated *superb* This makes my 3-times/week swimming session even more fabulous. 3. The scarfs!! 4. Winter food. 5. Hot green tea tastes better 6.Paul Frank 7… …

So many reasons to be in love with Winter…. and no reasons for you to dislike your life. Don’t ya reckon?
I is Baby Foo, obviously.
I managed to find quite a few numbers of my childhood photos in my old album back home. Those photos are reproduced using Canon S3, the quality aint that good. Some are OK, some are not. If I have scanner when I was back in Bagan Serai, I swear I will have at least hundreds of photos of me!
So, this is me.

I have heaps of photo of me and mum. Mum loves photo (and sweet memories) !! She took heaps of photos of us! I believe I inherit this particular DNA code from her. Erm, If I have a chance, I will scan our WHOLE family album.

With mum again. Mum doesn’t seem to change much since many years ago except she no longer wear this humungous glasses

I can’t believe the baby is ME! Do I? Did I? Grow up sooooo much?
With grandpa.
I was the first and the only daughter of my parents, and grandchild of both maternal and paternal grandparents. Naturally, I kena (was) spoilt like no-body-business. I am lucky enough that my family members are not those ol’ days typical traditional Asians who favor male more than female. Lagi!! I kena spoilt BIG TIME lah!!
So, you can tell why I am so spoilt and ‘manja’.
With my late grandpa — he was one of my role models in my family. He taught me lotsa things when I was young. Not those ABC, 123 thing. It was all about the grown-up fink–social, politic etc. He told me it was going to be useful in my future. Sadly, I only realised their usefulness these years.

Told you! I was spoilt big time! My family members had my 1st birthday party for me. Alas! These adults ah! Enjoying themselves only lah!
Can you spot a young dude wearing a white shirt, standing behind mum? it is my dad!!! He was and he is still a handsome man!

My childhood friends –Xing Jun, Siew Hwa, Ting Ting. Xing Jun supervised me in debate competition when I was in high school. She is very inspiring. Siew Hwa, nickname Ah Gal whom I spent PLENTY of my childhood time with her. She was our baby sitter’s relative, we used to love together too!

My aunty who is now mother of two little cute boys. Remember Kit Chai and Zi Tao?

I was a tom-boy head when I was young. And I am still one.

I love this little elephant top! So much of a ’character’

My uncle (mum’s youngest brother). He is a smart-ass and very brainy too.

With my aunty (mum’s sister). We were (and are) very close. When I was young, she treated me like a baby, a young lady who knew nothing. But now hey! All my aunties (include dad’s sister) are my GIRLFRIENDS! We talk about everything!

I can’t believe I ‘did’ this!! Lift the skirt half way and pose for the camera. So gurly!

At Taiping Lake.

With my brother in Teluk Intan (Anson) where my late grandma’s hometown was.

most of my dad’s sibling were in Teluk Intan when I was young. I didn’t get to see them so often. But I am glad we all are closely bonded nowadays.
Beside my family members in Bagan Serai, I will make effort to contact my uncles, aunties and grandaunty all over Penang, KL and The States. *Family is very very important to me.*

Grooooowing up.

in four years time… me a little gal.

And I guess this is when I was 5,6?

the growing-up process is so unreal, me think.

Lucky

Freaking chilly Friday night.
can’t be bothered to insert any more text after posting so much photos. fingers (and brain) are all froooozen up.
For Harry Potter fans, this is SOMETHING for you.
Cheers. Have a nice weekend.
The title ’Tuan1 Wu3 Jie2 Kuai4 Le4″ means Happy Dumpling Festival!
So not!!
No one bothered informed me about Dumpling Festival. That bloody bloglines dot com is soooo slow! By that time everyone finishes their ‘chang’ (dumpling in Hokkien), I only realised Dumpling Festival was like.. hmm.. 3 days ago? GRRRRRRreat!!! But, that’s OK. At least I have friends who was kindly fetch two dumplings to my house. Thanks Chris korkor !
Still not happy! Only 2 dumplings? Meanning what? One for me, One for Kian (obviously). I want BOTH.

And yeah! I didn’t even realised last Sunday was Father’s Day in back home. I think I did, didn’t I? I couldn’t be bothered to call home. Did I actually call?? I can’t remember. *so blur*
But yeah, I don’t think my dad knows it WAS father’s day anyway.
I was trying to avoid conversation thesedays with my dad. NO ! NO! We don’t have arguement neither we are in bad term. My naggy daddy has been asking me how much pocket $$$ I need thesedays when I call home, and my malfunction brain can NOT figure out how much $$$ I need!!
What’s wrong with me? first, (sorta) forgetting father’s day, then dumpling festival…now I don’t know even how much $$$ I need??!!
*b*tch slap myself*
Friends visiting town. Yay-ness!!!
Miza is my junior high classmate, working for Airline. We haven’t seen each other for yearssss. The reunion in Perth somewhat make everything so special.

I took Miza and her friends to The Fishy Affair, Northbridge. The original plan of mine was driving to Freo..But I was exhausted from work, plus Kian didn’t finish till late. I manage somehow to take them out to Northbridge for a taste of local seafood.
Seafood is a must in Western Australia.

Lotsa memories from junior high. We catch up with everything, who is doing what, who is getting married, bla bla bla and of course the goss.
We all are from the same boat (school), we were very close back then…and to see everyone doing well at this stage, the feeling is simply faboulous!

Nick is Miza’s friend from the same crew. He has been travelling for abit, and he told me lotsa lotsa places around the world. Wah lau!! Their juicy juicy stories from around the world make me wanna fly too! My destinations are always Nepal, Tibet and India. I always wanted to follow the pathway where Siddhata had been thru. And I always love those oriental and authentic art.. Man! I wish I can fly, too!

After dinner, I took them around in Northbridge. I shamelessly show them our ‘China Town’. Yep, that’s it. Our so-called cheeeena town. *stick the tongue out*
The four Chinese character are read from right to left: liu4 he2 tong2 chun1.

More photos to come. Stay tunned for part 2. Cheers xoxox
p/s: nabeh!! I spent bloody two hours looking at AMH (Australia Medicine Handbook). Bloody TWO hours. Only one word came into my brain: AMOXYCILLIN. I’m wondering issit because the cold weather stopping my brain from working? Or laziness is allowed to be associated with sickness? By the way, I am not that sick anymore.
Hello Hello!
This is the latest hair cut. I feel like a ‘boy’. The ladyboss at the local Chinese restaurant asked Kian: Hey! Since when you get a little boyfriend?
I hold my *ahem* and I told her: HEEEEYYY!! I have boobiesss!!
It is so OBVIOUS!!! pfft. From now on, I will let it grow, NO more haircut. I can feel the good ones are growing. *oh-so-nice!*

Went to work on Thursday. Took 3 days off.
Had a plain porridge with onion omelet, sprinkle with seaweed.A little bit of change and creativity in lunch box. It tasted surprisingly well. I don’t like extra salt or any other flavoring especially when I am still not feeling 100%. A plain porridge plus the sweeteness from onion are just perfect.

Thursday night dinner. I sent a text message to Kian, telling him to make a LIGHT dinner. Don’t go overboard.
Kian bought a whole roasted chicken from Coles. It looks HUGE but Kian said that’s the smallest size and it cost only $6.95. WONDERFUL!! The moment I saw that chook: Yes! Can save some for tmr lunch! *classic*
I try to spend minimum effort to prepare the ‘best’ lunch. cos of the time, I only have 15-20 min to bite, and the rest of the 10-15min, I have to catch up with some other work.

UH! Check out this salad!! My Kian’s salad! Babay spinach, hydrophilic tomato, boiled egg, steamed potato plus toasted wholemeal bread. Kian experienced his own dressing with extra virgin olive oil with garlic and Italian herbs. SUPERB mann!!
I cheesely and chinesely said to Kian: WOW! This is not a LIGHT dinner, honey. Everything is so BIG!
Deep down, he knows I am crying like a baby already.

So, there you go. Some leftover for Friday lunch at work. I didn’t manage to find the remaining of the dressing, so I just use abit of French Honey Mustard dressing. I needed the sweetness to overpower some ol’ spinach.

There was someday, I didn’t feel like salt and pepper. There was someday, I wanted more sugar.. What can I say?
WOMAN.
Main ingredient used: king prawns. wrapped with wonton skin, deep fried till crispy. Eggy mayo sauce served on side and ready to go.

Main ingredient : mucus from both left and right nostrils. Occasioanally stubburn phlegm from the lungs. Wrapped with Kleenax tissue paper and green pouches are formed. So crook!!! I’m not ready for work, but again I really don’t want to take another day off from work. *tears*

I want my mummy and daddyyyyy!!!! — that’s just a joke.
p/s: I got another hair cut just now. It IS very short but so damn smooth. I guess all the damaged bits were cut off, and I hope this is the very last trip. When I look into the mirror, I see mullet, and I REALLY wanna cry. Cry big time!!! — and this is not a joke. *sob*
Monday: Public holiday in Western Australia. No work. Obvisouly.
Tuesday: First Day at Work.
Had left over pizza from dinner. Thin but not-so crispy base. Loaded with plenty of vegetable. The receipe is more than the less from the happy pizza I made previsouly. Thank Buddha I had enough to eat.
First day at work was killing me. So much work to do, can? Who ask me to act ’smart’? I should have pretended like a dumb-arse, sitting there and doing nothing observing. I have my friendly (aka busybody/kepoh) nature to blaim for..But yeah, blending in with the whole group at first day, and feel like I have been working there for months, this feeling is fantastic!

Wednesday: Second day at work.
Oh yeah, I skipped work on my second day at work. Don’t you bloody slap your forehead and say this to me: Cyn..I have no eye to see (you.) =.=”’
Dalai Lama to blaim, ok?
Thursday: Third Day at work
I was running late, as usual. Is not that I don’t treat my job seriously. I just have problem estimating the time needed to travel to Gossie. *wink*
Two wholemeal Helga bread, quater avocado, and Safcol naturally smoked tuna. Hey! Do you believe that? NATURALLY SMOKE? Erm..interesting.

Approximately 400mL of soya milk to go with too. I need to sustain my energy level, especially the manager and pharmers so ’love’ me at the first sight they met me. They even offer me my pre-registration for next year! So overwhelming, can? There is really a thing called ‘love at first sight’. Believe me.
Oh yeah, my boobies are not getting any bigger. I was told drinking soya milk can bring the size back, too. Working or not, I don’t know.
*both hands squeezing my *cough*..damn! where the hell is my cleavage??????*

Friday: Fourth Day at work
I heavily added lotsa vege in my Helga sandwich. Lettice, cucumber, avocado, ham and light mayo-ed.
I didn’t have enough fiber the day before, and feeling all constipated.
Constipation is one of the trigger factors of my cranky-ness at work. Any unlucky bogens would get told off by me. So, don’t play play with me.
Bogens are not so bad, most of the time, they are quite timid, because you have the things they want. If they mess around, I can ask them to leave. Quite often, those educated people IS the one who act like a snooooooop!! nahbeh! What a scumbag! I just feel like stretching four muscles of my right arm–b*tch slap them!! *amitaba*

Saturday: Fifth day at work.
Today is not official work day for my clinical placement. Simply because they *heart* me so much..they ask me to work for them, so I can help them out for abit while they kinda understaff. How nice is that?

I got Chooks Sub for lunch. About 4 bucks for one sub like this..kinda ripe off, ok? But I guess is ok, I don’t do it oftenly. Plus, they are paying me a handsome taxfree salary for my help. For the first time in my life, a super stingy tightarse bugga like me can proudly say: this 4 bucks is nothing. *show off lansee face* Hahah!

There won’t be 5 lunches for this coming week because I am still not feeling 100%. I am not going to work for 1-2 days. And I hope they won’t miss me or curse me like hell behind me :)
*cough cough cough*
Need I say no more?

Must be the bloody gozzie bogen bugs, I assume.
Blooooody hell! These are not lollies, you know?
Kian and I went to His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama Australia Tour at Busrwood Dome. It was awesome! It was an alternative weekly date of ours, and that’s for sure.
Hello Everybody, please meet the Lama *Amitabha*
Note: My words from this particular experience don’t represent Dalai Lama’s presentation. Each individual may interprete differently. Ru2 shi4 wo3 wen2, is the word, meaning this is what I heard from … .

I must say I am very very lucky to have the chance to attend the Dhamma (Buddhist’ teachings). For a Buddhist, I truely believe a good cause is due to good karma.
The first Dhamma was held at 930am. We both reached there at 6am. You think we are insane? Ha! Ha! There were people from country area arrived at 4am! four freaking AM! It was freezing, but it was all worth it.
Dalai Lama is a very very wise man (obvisouly). He presented Dhamma with sense of humour; his carefree yet wisdom shows why he is widely accepted by the public especially in Western Countries.
In the first talk, Spirituality and Sustainability Forum, he said, how to preserve the nature? I don’t use bath tub for showering, I use shower, so I can save water. I switch off the light when I leave the room.
Everyone applaused and laughed out loud.

When Dalai Lama was questioned about how politician can take up a role in protecting environment (or something like that)..He looked stoned, and smiled to Jamie Durie (host), and answered: I don’t know. He laughed.
aH! So cute! Again, his honestly won another applause from everyone. I realised this is the attitute lack in Chinese. When they don’t know, they pretend they know everything. They are either trying to pretend they are smart or they afraid their Chinese boss think they are too dumb.

The second Dhamma presentation was Ethic for New Millenium. It was a booked out event. We didn’t actually manage to get hold on any tickets! Not until a lady overheard my conversation with a gentleman sitting next to me, she offered help. WAH LAU!!! We get to go BOTH talks!!! This a bloody good karma, can??? This means I am super nice larrr
*ahem*

I saw the tickets, and I started touching them, feeling them…hoping it was NOT a dream! I was so moved and I cried! Ya Wei jie…I think you are the only person can understand my feeling at that moment.

I must speacial thank Hayagriva Buddhist Center who giving out the tickets for me. The lady was very kind, she said to me: Love, I try to get two seats together, so you can sit with your partner.
Honestly, I don’t expect her to get both of us sitting together, as long as there is one ticket for each of us, I am happy.
Thank you!

Dalai Lama began his presentation by asking: why major religion is built around God? Do human being need a religion?(something like that)
He said, in fact we don’t need any religion, unless we are lost and then we need one to guide us thru.
Yep! This is absolutely Buddhism. Perfect, clear message.

It was enlightend, educational and entertaining.
Kian managed to record a small part of presentation on video, but youtube has been playing up with me. I tried toupload 3 times..non working. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the joyfulness of holy Dhamma as much as I do.
Sadhu, Sadhu, Sadhu.
