又一個三毛
Pre-Post:
三毛 (san mao) was a Taiwanese writter who travelled alot when she was alive. She wrote plenty of books. I was once in love with her stories, her love toward everything she did in the past. Nah! It put up a full-stop real quick when I (personally) realised she was so depressed. Today, I still think that she was killed by depression–even she wrote beautiful stories, I had the vibe she intended to create a beautiful world, and she was happily lived in her own imagination after her husband past away.

三毛 reminded my friend, Yawei, or probably the other way around. Yawei is my hometown old friend whom I knew 13 years ago. I knew her when I was in local Buddhist Youth Society. She was and she is still inspiring. We haven’t spoken to each other till recently she get hold on me thru’ internet. OMGB (B=Buddha) I just can’t believe it.
She is working as a nurse in Saudi Arabia. This remind me of 三毛.. as in the travelling bits. And it does remind me of myself for haven’t been home for 10 years. Home, is like a temporary stopping point:–meeting family, unpacking and packing up then leave (again). Most of the time, I have no clue where I would ended to be the next day morning.
It has been awhile. It is a long journey, and this is how far we go and keep going. and keep going.
For my dear family back home, for Yawei, for三毛, for me….

I Love You.

I get to know 三毛 through 娃娃看天下 comic (by Quino). She translated the comic to chinese and I love that comic
Killed by depression is a terrible way to go.. Poor thing..

My mom loved 三毛 and she’d always tell me about her and how she passed away…
This all started when we found 娃娃看天下 translated by her at our local library (in Canada!)
l b: So many people are almost killed by depression. I can’t decide if what’s worse.
I’ve never heard of 三毛 the author but I know 三毛 as thirty cents. Hehe.
Nice pictures, by the way.
You know, san mao always sounds very cute and bubbly in her books, like somebody who will find a way to laugh even though life might be tough…
That’s why i was a bit surprised when i realised she commit suicide…probably she and her hubby were too close to let each other go…so sad…
anyway, back to you :>…
i guess we can all have more than one ‘home’ in the world.
