Taiwan Orchestra Performance: Timeless Melody
I went to an orchestra performance on Friday night. It was a great performance. Splendid, is the word. =)
I actually saw the ad in town, but I didn’t manage to get the tickets. Lucky enough, David managed to get me and Kian 2 tickets.
This gentleman with glasses, is my old friend, David.
David, this is everybody. Everybody, this is David!
David is a Taiwaness himself. He is single and freely available. He never *really* had a gf before. So, if you kind enough, please help me and his mom to get rid off him from the house. He is typical ‘failure to launch’ type. Ok, bullshit enough. =)
This is me. I realised I wear the same color of seating in the performance hall, I decided to take a picture and see how well I ‘blended’ in. Enough, I crazy enough.
The performance started with few speeches. Thank God, it wasn’t lengthy.
Oh! Another thing! The near-to-pseudo-cute English-Chinese translator, he did quite an alright job which brought plenty of entertainments. Haha! I wouldn’t wanna imagine if I were in his shoes. ^_*
Anyhoo.. I think this is the first time I see soooo sooo many people gather around in the same place. It is just unbelieveable. In fact, there are still so many people who are still appreciate traditional music. Especially for those who come from Asian background, living in a Western-Oriental cultural melting pot, I am impressed. I nearly let my tears drop.

The performers are aged from 9 to 15. They are fabulous. I am impressed which they are not only good at the skill at using the musical instruments, but they all played with the real spirit. How cool is that!
The first few musics were played in a small group. It was abit slow. I tried not to doze off. *ahem* I wanted to give them my full moral support. FYI, I am Oriental culture lover myself, I love traditional music; shame, my senior high school didn’t accept transfer student when I was studying there, otherwise I would be a damn good one. Bah! Not really, I pefer acting. =) Standing infront of the public, talk and talk and talk…. pseudo-PM style. Hahah! Jokking.

Back to the performance, the young girl on the left showed an outstanding performance. She plays well, and REAL. Full of spirit, the love and the hate. You will truely love it.

Ok, I have a video clip here. Finally! My retarded brain know how to figure to put the video clip up. Woohoo! I am not that retard, after all. Thank Buddha!! Phew. *grin*
Till then.. Have a nice week ahead~!
Love,
Cynthia
