Tag:Six Random Facts About Me

By Chen . Why? She loves me. :)
Picture taken back in March 2006

6 random facts.. easy lah! Haha

  1. As far as I love to go on serious diet just like what I planned on the 1st January 2006, hmm.. it doesn’t seem like working. Simple as that: I love my food.
  2. Beside sitting infront my laptop, nerding thru’ internet, I enjoy housework, gardening, and cooking as much as I like go for a swim in late afternoon.
  3. I am slight westernised conservative Asian. Learning the new culture whilst keeping Oriental values.
  4. I love David Brent (Ricky Gervais). However, my obsession pause at The Office soon I realised he is a depressed man in the Extras. I sometimes suspect a happy cheerful man can suffer from depression too. And I wonder myself, if I am one of them? Anyway, depression leads the sexyness of a person,in some way. That’s why I still love Brent.

5. I know nothing about Footy (AFL), however I love watching the games, chasing the scores and eyeing on the footy players musculin body and arses. I even appreciate it if you don’t watch the game with me, but to some extent, you may acknowldege my obsession and don’t just ignore me completely.
6. I have problem saying NO. In some ways, I am a soft-hearted biatch; I carry loads of burden myself. There is some scientist said that person who has problem saying NO, will suffer from anxiety, depression…and later die from cancer. Bullshit one lah. =) I love this tag anyway, ’cause I feel the love. ^_^

By the way, Happy Belated Daffodail Day!

Taiwan Orchestra Performance: Timeless Melody

I went to an orchestra performance on Friday night. It was a great performance. Splendid, is the word. =)

I actually saw the ad in town, but I didn’t manage to get the tickets. Lucky enough, David managed to get me and Kian 2 tickets.

This gentleman with glasses, is my old friend, David.

David, this is everybody. Everybody, this is David! :)

David is a Taiwaness himself. He is single and freely available. He never *really* had a gf before. So, if you kind enough, please help me and his mom to get rid off him from the house. He is typical ‘failure to launch’ type. Ok, bullshit enough. =) This is me. I realised I wear the same color of seating in the performance hall, I decided to take a picture and see how well I ‘blended’ in. Enough, I crazy enough. The performance started with few speeches. Thank God, it wasn’t lengthy.

Oh! Another thing! The near-to-pseudo-cute English-Chinese translator, he did quite an alright job which brought plenty of entertainments. Haha! I wouldn’t wanna imagine if I were in his shoes. ^_*
Anyhoo.. I think this is the first time I see soooo sooo many people gather around in the same place. It is just unbelieveable. In fact, there are still so many people who are still appreciate traditional music. Especially for those who come from Asian background, living in a Western-Oriental cultural melting pot, I am impressed. I nearly let my tears drop.

The performers are aged from 9 to 15. They are fabulous. I am impressed which they are not only good at the skill at using the musical instruments, but they all played with the real spirit. How cool is that!

The first few musics were played in a small group. It was abit slow. I tried not to doze off. *ahem* I wanted to give them my full moral support. FYI, I am Oriental culture lover myself, I love traditional music; shame, my senior high school didn’t accept transfer student when I was studying there, otherwise I would be a damn good one. Bah! Not really, I pefer acting. =) Standing infront of the public, talk and talk and talk…. pseudo-PM style. Hahah! Jokking.

Back to the performance, the young girl on the left showed an outstanding performance. She plays well, and REAL. Full of spirit, the love and the hate. You will truely love it.

Ok, I have a video clip here. Finally! My retarded brain know how to figure to put the video clip up. Woohoo! I am not that retard, after all. Thank Buddha!! Phew. *grin*

Till then.. Have a nice week ahead~!

Love,

Cynthia

Happy Carpenter

My bookshelf nearly collapse yesterday. IKEA bookshelf ey! That’s what we call? =)
I was sooo frustrated and I did even call Kian, I told him my plan: I want to call Cash Converter.. sell the bloody bookshelf off!! I want to get a non-IKEA bookshelf!! That is how frustrated I was. =)
Nah! I didn’t get rid of the bookshelf. I planned to fix that mofo. Nails and hammer. And the noise. It is kinda cool, I guess.
As far as I remember, this is not the first time I fix my own bookshelf. I have one at home, approximately 40 years old antique (probably older) from my grandpa, I used to fix that before my dad wanted to throw it away!! Gosh!
I took some books off the shelf. Reduce its burden. =)

I even moved the bookshelf close to my study table.

It is all good.

I am a happy carpenter =)

Mazda Performance Day, Perth

ZOOM ZOOM !!

Kian won some sort of competition few nights ago, and he was invited by Mazda for Mazda Performance Day in Perth. Mazda also allowed him to bring a friend along. Haha!! Who else get to go? ME!!! Of course!! Hahahah!!

Ok, brotha and sista, saudara saudari, kawan kawan sekalian.. I know nothing much about cars, so just bear with my superficial bimbotic opinions. I do watch quite a bit of TopGear (British Car Reviews series), still I love the British accent, jokes and looking at nice cars, That’s all. And the rest of information that car lovers paying attention at….? I don’t and I never care. :)

The Driving was taken place in AHG Driving Center, located near to Perth International Airport. Despite several episodes of pouring rain, it didn’t stop our adrenaline level from jumping up.

We all. YES, WE ALL get to drive ALL these Mazdas–MX5, MPS (newest car), RX8 and Maxda 6. *drooool* The event started with a briefing session with Jon Waterhouse (ex-Australia Rally Champion). He is such a cool dude. He told us alot more about MPS. Sitting in the presentation room, listening to the car thoeries.. It was an awesome experience. It was so scientific, factual–I am amazed by myself ’cause this is kinda the first time I understand ‘automobile’ language. The session also conducted by few trainers from Motor School.

Ok, let’s take a closer look of those babies.
This is Kian and MX5.
I’ve driven MX5..sucks! Not the car, it is ME!!! =) I am lousy driver. It was so weird for driving an auto-Mazda. I always feel there is something missing without needing pushing clutch while changing the gear. I even push the break while I attempted to change the gear. Damn it!! It was so bloody embarassing!!!!! I am dumb enough.. But, still!! Not that I need extra funny jokes on me. pfft! :) I tell you what, MX5 is yummie– the feeling of driving it just like having a big jug of watermelon juice in hot summer days–smooth and powerful.

This is RX8. Drove that as well. Damn it! The interior design is sooo gorgeous! It was very powerful Mazda–2nd gear for 2 labs and it was still strong to race. Love the seat controller–good for short ppl like me. Not much space thou.. I don’t think this Mazda baby is suitable for grocery shopping at Coles. :) Eh, I told you already, I don’t much about cars. For me, if I am buying the car, I choose the look, and other feminine characteristics rather than the horse power.Again, MX5. MPS–the latest Mazda Performance Series.

I have so much to say about this baby after I’ve driven it. It was HOT! The wheel grabbing the road sooo sooo well. It was soo ZOOOOM(ed). No matter how fast and crazy I drove, it won’t lost control. Damn it! I had no chance at all to do the ‘Initial-D’ thingy! I have other people I meet on this event told me the same thing as well. Geee.. driving a MPS is like drinking hot pipping tom yum soup with lotsa seafood–that lemonish hot and spicy flavor never failed to give diners the ultimate orgasmic feel. *shiok*Hehehe.. Me, Kian and MPS baby. :)

Mazda 6 is a sophisicated bitch!!! I tell you. I never expect an ‘ordinary’ looking Mazda has such an awesome performance. Beside, it is very spacious–shopping bags, vege, fruits from market …. =) It handles well on the road. Very feminine. Very smooth. Exactly like those carefully cooked steak melting in the mouth—Heaven!!!
I think I bimbo enough for the Mazdas. I have some pictures for the car lovers as well. Boys, there you go!

Those are teh interior designs of the car. Not much taken as I was busy driving here and there =)

MPS.

RX8 baby.

Mazda 6, the sophisicated biatch =)

MX5.

Oh, this is Kian in MX5 =)

By the way, if any of you know who is Dick Johnson??? CLICK HERE

He was Aussie racing champ..like a aussie legend thingy or something. I swear to God I didn’t really know who he was.. I thought he was just like other cool dude instructors.. Not till EVERYONE, yes, EVERYONE was kept mentioning his name, taking pictures, getting autograph……..those idol thingy. Oh well, you know.

Yeah, what did DICK JOHNSON doing there??

He drove us in MPS!!!!! EVERYONE!!!!!!!! Lucky us!!! ^_^

Dick Johnson with Kian.

Swear to God, I still really don’t know much about cars, V8 racing thingy. I personally think is a friendly cute gentleman. He has that sense of humor. He is humble. He shares everything and patiently answered my bimbotic and blonde questions. Unlike other famous ppl, he didn’t even get annoyed or upset even I didn’t know anything about him!! *respect* Jon Waterhouse, I need to mention again. He is another respectful gentleman. He is funny, and humble. So much to learn from older people. =) Grrrrr.. I didn’t get to take pictures with Waterhouse, damn it!

and ME! :) and there of us. Pfft. I am so short! =(
Autographed pictures to show off, in case you bloody don’t believe me I get to go with Kian for this exclusive invitation from Mazda. haha!!

To sum up, it was a fantastic experience. It was a total driving experience. Enjoying and loving the cars. The extra bonus of the whole experience was: NO, not a bloody pushy saleperson asking anyone of us buying the Mazda!! How cool is that?

Anyway.. I am so wanting that Mazda THREE MPS!!! I can imagine myself sitting in that sexy baby now.. Eh, you guys pray for me, hope I can get it soon. Real soon. =)

QGT with Elaine

Elaine is one of my girl friend whom I really close with. By the way, QGT means Quality Girls Time =)

Elaine is working for Singapore Airline at the moment. Bah, looking at her gorgeous face and body, u know her occupation at SIA lah. =) She is very tall. Tall as in.. Hmm.. I kinda half-folded my body while taking this picture to hide my ‘body length’. Tee hee hee
I have plenty of friends who visiting Perth on many occasions, most of the time, I will try to make sometimes off to see them because our precious friendship. Elaine is definitely one of them.

(Note: friend means.. those that are really appreciate you, and cheerish the friendship; Not like those who only call you when they were dumbed by their boyfriend. And won’t even bother to call you when she (or they) find a new boyfriend. That is sooo NOT a friend. I don’t call that friend. Just a PIK!!! PIK=Person-I-Know. That’s all. )

Elaine knew my busy schedule on Saturday, therefore she invited me to spend the night in Sheraton Hotel once she touched down to Perth. WoooHooo!! I got the first cuddle! :)

We both tucked our feet in the thick blanket…chit chatting till 5AM in the morning for heaven sake!!! GIRLS QUALITY TIME myte! Only girls know this well. ^_^

We share plenty of experience since she left. She told me about her travelling experiences.. Gosh! It was sooo sooo exciting! It is so real and way better than just looking at the pictures itself. I told her about my blogging thingy, my work, my crazy moment in the night club where some Japanese cute chicks trying to flirt with Kian yet I was still very excited about it because this means MY bf is gold and desireable *bling*.. It was so so so cool.

Elaine is a genuine girl friend. It was 1001 time I could actually burst into tears seeing her leaving Perth again. Nahbeh! I don’t normally being so emotional one, I tell you. Although we didn’t spend much time, but all wonderful moment are well kept in my memory.

I sound kinda G. I know. But…. whatever. At this stage, I have more than a quality girl friend, so cheerish for me =)

It is not just about fund raising..it is also all about the fashion, the style, the glamour.. Very fastinating, I must say. =) Went there for voluntering. Gawd! I’ve been running and talking to people for 4 hours straight, selling tombolas. Raising ~1000 bucks with my voly partner =) Not to mention the total amunt raised from that night itself.
Lotsa models, people, clothes, laughters, screaming at hot models =) ; catwalk was awesome..
