I haven’t been out for fancy dinner for awhile. Today, I decided wanna do some food post. Without reviewing much. With some pictures. Keep it as a very ordinary night out.
Welcome to Victoria Station, everybody.
There were 4 of us.
This is Jo.
Yes, Perth bloggers will see this pretty and friendly chick at the meet up on July. Sorry, she is taken. Her bf knows martial art well.
This is Robert, who knows martial art well. =D
Me …
and my man, with crystal clear wine glass.
Entree to start with. I had mushroom soup. Kian had linguni with seafood mix.
Main:
Reef and Beef. Nothing fancy =) I was rather disappointed with the rubberish texture of the clayfish. I wanted to bitch to the manager, but thinking of everybody seem having fun, and I think I better shut up..don’t make noises. Create world peace, ay?
I asked for medium cooked beef. Turn out.. eh. But I still enjoy the beef with half-cooked pinky blood. I swear to Buddha, it was yummie. =D

Kian had fish steak. The greenish thing on top is spanish spinach.
Dessert:
Lemon with some funcky mix, served with ice-cream.
Pecan Pie. Jo loves it alot. I tried a bit. It was really yummie.
I am a dessert person. Most of the time, I like to complete my meal with sweet dessert.
Chocolate tart served with ice cream. VS doesnt serve cheappy vanila ice cream. Most of their ice creams are quite unique. Not Gelare or Gelato type. I was amazed.

It was just a usual catch up session with Jo and Rob. Quite, yet hearty and fully contented.
I got tagged by Chen, as usual.
Simple pleasures ay? Plenty! I am very easy to please. Not fussy in some way =D
Simple. enough.
WOOHOO!!!!

WOOHOO!!!!
I am blued. I can’t sleep. I am so tired, mentally. Couple of things happend over the weekend, and I have been thinking quite abit about that. My friend’s dad past away; and I refused to admit that is a ‘big thing’. Flame me! And call me biatch. After all, I just wanna live in denial–I seriously don’t want to know what will happen if I am in this situation. Mind you, I haven’t seen my dad for 2 years. I miss him. I seriously don’t want anything to happen.
Hey! Slap me! or more appropriately: Hello!!! *knock*

Add a smiley icon… this is my all time favorite. It reflects me well–*smile*

If you looking at it at different angle, what would you think??

Milking a cow milk????? Or?? Use your imagination! =D

My cousin like to do this all the time–V. I see her pictures in friendster, and I swear to God Buddha, a 19-years old teen like this V thing alot!!! =)

Blue + Middle finger=?? Use your brain. =D

Can you do this finger movement ….

and this movement quickly??

Oh well.. after all, they are just a pair of blue gloves I’ve got from the lab. (excluding my Paul Frank)

Blue gloves.. nothing really fancy and interesting.
So blue, so blurred… perfectly describe my mood and brain activity at the moment. Argh…Having mention, today is Monday. Bloody Monday!!
p/s: Finally I manage to ‘drag’ Kian to join me in my blog! WooHoo!! He is part-time blogger! Hahahahahah!!! Wah lau! If I really wanna count ah, I seriously don’t know how many people were ‘infected’ by this blogging disease from me. Shiok! =)
To be honest with you, I am addicted to porridge. Any kind of porridge. Oriental or Western. You name it. Not much work or energy required to chew; I think mostly is temperature related issue –I need warm (close to hot) food =)
I haven’t posting food post for awhile, so I am thinking of doing it today =) Yay!!!
I have chuncky fish, carrot and mushroom.

Boil the rice with excessive water.

Then, add the mushroom and carrot. Stir constantly to prevent the rice ’stick’ on the bottom of the pot.

On the other hand, lightly boil the fish in hot water. Don’t use excessive heating, ’cause my instinct told me extra boiling may break the fish apart easily. Right? Not sure myself. Ask Cooknengr =P
Nice and smooth chuncky fish cuts. ![]()

Then add the fish to the porridge, stir lightly. Use low heating at this point.
You may add flavoring as well, such as chicken stock, soya source, salt or pepper.
For myself, I use few drops of soya source and a little bit of white pepper from Sarawak =)

The whole cooking process took less than 25mins. It is a simple and quick meal.
I use mug for porridge, soup, cereal….. Don’t ask me why. =P
Have a nice Saturday! Keep warm everybody~!!!
^_*
Hurray~! We completed the dinghy sailing course! It was all good. All good.
From the nearly-dead first lesson , our boat capsized, till we are able to sail with the wind. It is a great transformation. =)

All those pictures below were taken by Encik Loo. Tee hee hee.. I dragged him with us.. Thanks dude!
The lady between us is Sal, she is our instructor. *leng lui* =) Ask Encik Loo.. he went on the same boat while we were having the training.

Sunny and beautiful day~! But, not always like that. When I first started, I always wish the wind is not strong, so I won’t capsized. However, when we kinda able to handle it, we wish the wind is stronger.. how weird is that, human being! ;D

Me, as the crew.. not much fun cause most of the time I just sit back and relax. ekeke

Kian as skipper.. he controls the direction of the boat according to the shifts of the wind.

We do swap responsibilities as well.. I like to become the skipper when I can handle the wind. It is absolutely awesome!

There you go… Yay!
I am glad I never gave up on the first day…. *phew*
^_*
p/s: there was once, we had dolphins swam pass the boat.. it was absolutely fantastic!!!
In case, you don’t know. Or probably you were already over-informed by those commercials.
For me, is time to call home. Not only my mum, but my aunties (dad’s two younger sisters and mum’s only sister), my grandaunty (my dad’s aunty (his mum’s younger sister) ).
Sound like I have very busybody day, what you expect? I’m from a small happy family… everybody loves everybody. =)

I wish there is an extension phone in the heaven, ’cause I want to call my grandma. Today is her 3rd year leaving us. I still feel terrible for the whole thing.
My grandma suffered from brain and lung cancer (2003), which was re-occuring medical condition from 1998. Back then, she had kidney tumour.
Three years ago, she complaints about headache; I didn’t know much that time. (even now, I also don’t know much =P) So, with the encouragments from whole family, I took her to hospital. Yeah, why encouragement from whole family? ’cause they are too soft-hearted.(?) Grandma respected me the most among all the grandchildren as I am the eldest.

In the hospital, I informed the doctors must not tell her what-so-ever. All the information must went to my dad, uncles, aunties or me. Shamefully, there was this doctor with itchy anal and itchy mouth, told my grandma: 你的腦壞了! (Your brain is damaged) Tiuniaseng that doctor
Grandma panic. Of course, she did. She told me off in the wad, right infront of my family: 卜你媽(F your mother),你不要以為你會講英文 (don’t think you know how to speak English), 我不會聽 ( I don’t understand).因為你帶我來看醫生(’case you bring me to hospital) ; 醫生說我的腦壞了 (Doctor said my brain is damaged),我要死了(I am dying).
There you go. The first word, “F ur M” craked the ice in the whole ward, but the rest of the words haunted me for the rest of my life. Grandma was born in small town Teluk Intan, she wasn’t really educated. She didn’t swear, but the F thing, I could understand how depressed she was at that time.
I couldn’t do much. I was upset. Damn! Why me? I was the youngest adult she could blame at that time..so, it was OK?(.)
I flew back to Perth after 3 days. The whole thing was hauting me, still… brain damaged..dying… my fault?
Few months later, she passed away. Dad didn’t want me to know. But I have close aunty who informed me. I flew home. Didn’t really dare to see her ’sleeping’ in the coffin.
I bitched about my feeling to everyone at home. Yes, every single one. From dad to my cousin, my mum’s highschool best friend–if I didn’t get it out, I would probably die. Is like..er..you had gas in your stomach, and if you don’t fart, it stinks!!!!!!!!
Oh well, it has been years now. What can I say.. Life is abit like that–Things come, things gone; people come, people gone.
Anyway, wish you all a Happy Mother’s Day and feel happy to get your blood sucked by those expensive restaurants and florist!! Woohoo~!!!!!
=)
I went to Garden City, wanting to buy bean bags and shopping for a new mobile phone contract.
Shamelessly to say, I bought none of the bean bags nor phone… cause I was distracted by several very artistic boxes. Hmm, what’s that? So, I bought one. ^_*

Oh! Didn’t know it is a box of cigarette. *cough cough* PEEL Menthol Orange. How yum is that?
I like the packaging. FYI, I am a big sukker of fine art, you see. =)

I opened up the box, realising the alumnium foil used to protect the cigarette is somewhat very artistic too. No regret. Silver background with orange ‘PEEL’ wordings. How beautiful is that!

Even the cigarette itself is so colorful. Darn those tobacco company!! They are indeed very creative and artistic. Like that idea of beautiful packaging.

Anyhoo.. I have no intention to encourage you ppl to smoke, you see. This is a message from Government::

Yeah, Smoking causes lung cancer. Scary right? =P
But, if you like to experience menthol orange flavor, I suggest this is what you can do.
You need 3 ingredients:
- a bubble tea jumbo size drinking straw
-an orange
- menthol chewing gum.
Chew the chewing gum. Meantime, smash the orange on the floor, or bang on the wall or hit it on your forehead, unpeeled. Poke the straw hard into the orange. Spit the gum, and suck the orange juice straight from the orange.
Yeah, I kid you not.
Try it! It is cool–exactly like the flavor of PEEL Orange Menthol. Just without nicotine.
Trust me! ^_*
I watched MI3 in Garden City.
Tom Cruise is yummm… I don’t care about his private life.

Ouch!!!They are yummmmmmm….
^_*
I made couple of cards for Mother’s day. Cards for my mum, Kian’s mum, aunty Verna and my k-mum. Sending card to mum is like a routine for me in the past 10 years. Gosh! I can’t believe I left home for freaking 10 years already.

“Ney, can you please write something in the card, so I can post it for your mum?”
“OK.”
“Ney! Is that all you write??? Happy Mother’s Day???”
“Yeah.. what else?”
“Aint you going to say I LOVE YOU, MUM?” (I think is a good time for a male to say that at this special occasion especially Chinese (aka Asian) is not very expressive.)
“Ha? No need one lah! She knows I love her…”
“But ney… you can say I LOVE YOU to your girl friend, but you can’t say that to your mum.. both are female!!”
“Nah.. is OK! She knows…”
“OK….”

Hmm.. I am wondering how many of you guys of there actually say ‘I LOVE YOU” to mum and dad? =) Is that really that ‘romantic’ 肉麻?
