Sometime, I think buying vegetarian food is ripping me off especially at special occasion. The demand is high, whilst the bussinessman just trying to minus this and that (smaller portion and less taste) so that they can make more money collect more donation. Bloody hell! Don’t they scared of karma? I do!!! Damn celaka punya orang!

We tried Ice kacang; Hmmm.. it costed me a bomb. Comparing with the Penang Road ones.. I felt like I was drinking water and syrup. Kian had rojak–damn I tell you, the source is watery. If let say ‘Buddha’ is not sitting behind me, I would properly throw everything within 10 second times. I am bloody Buddhist when come to food. No matter what you are going to tell me, typical example: wah! do you know Africa Kid is starving?
Hey dude! Of course I know! I throw away ice kacang, but not rice. I am going to hell with you anyway, you i.d.i.o.t! HA!!!HA!!! ^_*

The spring rolls were nice. Fat but yummie!

Rice rolls were fantastic! I was amazed–yeh yeh.. the only bussinessman who is doing for charity.

Oh!!! Talking crap about the food.. actually, the main reason for this post is I WANNA SHOW OFF!!!! Ehmm, my chinese calligraphy!

I haven’t been writing for 8 years already. It took me awhile to write the few words. Dad and my late grandma who were the people taught me when I was young. Maybe when I was 6 years old. Both my younger brother and sister are way better than I do. They establish their own style pretty well. On many occasion, I still feel my writing stop at ‘high school’ level– perfectionist-wannabe, ’squarish’, no life/spirit in my calligraphy. *That’s what my dad said* Oh well, I am abit like that–refuse to grow up. =)

Hehe.. sabar sedikit (patient a bit). I am getting there.

TA DAH!!!!!!! My first calligraphy in Perth =)

My Chinese surname is Foo 胡, not 符. I am Hakka. 心頂 is my Buddhist name 受戒法名. My chinese name in ID is 晶晶. Yeah, for those who know chinese, you know why I didnt use this name, cause it was quite hard to write in calligraphy; I chickened out a bit. Anyway, at home and most of my close friends back home call me 慧慧 (Huey Huey= wisdom), my family hope I will be wiser.. which I think it is abit d hard. Did I just say: I refuse to grow up?
Haha!!
This is second part… and this is almost everybody. From left: Fion, Rodney, Robert, Me, Felix and Kian. Jo was the one taking picture.

Oh.. I did mention in my previous post.. long weekend is all bout camwhoring…

OooooooOOOOopS~!!!
I organised a Perth blogger meet with Nadia. We meet, we talked, we bitched, we laughed, we camwhored, we laughed again…
IT WAS TOTALLY AWESOME~!!!!!
Rodney came late, also left early ’cause he has ’somethig to do’. =) Oh well, it is not hard to catch up with Rodney as his work place just around my house, we do come out for lunch sometimes.
This is Marcus This is the first time me and Kian meet up. Cool! We should catch up more often, yes???? *wink*

and Robin all the way from Nedland. Thanks for coming. I will organise another one in next coming break, so cynical-idealist won’t miss out all the fun.

This is everybody: from left: Bruce (Nadia’s bf), Nadia, me, Kian, Robin and Marcus.

I didn’t spend enough time talking with Nadia. Damn!!!!!!!! so!!! damn!! it!! We go GJ in Vic Park for catching up, shall we? =)
The whole session was great. We bitched talked about everything, from movies, tv series, life, human… It is like we know each other for bloody ages!!!!
It is a small world, is like Rodney was kenny sia’s old classmate in Year 12; Robin, who is originally from Kuching–same kampung as so many many my favorite bloggers.
We talked about drugs (from my appendicitis hospital stay) , oh well, Kian and I both do drug*, we just can’t help. Drug* is cool stuff, innit? Oh, Marcus (mooiness) and Robin taught me how to use bloglines.com, and they did gimme some tips about uploading pictures when using blogspot.com. Haha! Damn it! I cleary suX! =)
Ok, for those who missed out! No worries, mate. There is always a next-time a.k.a Good Thing ™ [stolen from this cool dude, =) ]
But do remember, next-time/Good Thing ™ doen’t often come =) Haha!!!!
Thanks for coming people! Cheers!

It was Wesak (Vesak) Day couple days ago. Aussie doesn’t really call it as Wesak/Vesak Day, they rather call this Buddhism celebration as Buddha’s Birthday. =)

I went to Perth Supreme Court Garden for this festival organised by BLIA. Hmmm.. I have so much to say. This clearly explains Wesak Day celebration will come in few parts.

I am real Buddhist, not the fake one. Not like those ppl who burn papers, pray anyone and call themselves Buddhist. =P
I don’t anti other religions, in fact I do read Holy Bibble, I still manage to say a bit of Muslim prayer (I went to Malay(Muslim) school when I was young when I was in my hometown, I was once damn good at it), I go to local Chinese temple with mum when I was back home (Buddhism teaches me to respect culture)… COOL right? This makes me a fabulous Malaysian who knows a bit of everything. Anyway, I believe if you have a particular faith or religion, that is good. But you can survive without it.
This is the ‘Wishing Pond’… Initially, I thought there were Kois in the pond..Hahah!! How silly I am. Cheh!! You know lah, lotsa lotsa temples keep Kois in their garden..If you visited Penang Kek Lok Si Temple before, I am sure you’ve seen those turtles in the pond..There are heaps of them =)

Those statues provided for people to shower the Buddha. OK, this is just a ceremony… As a Buddhist myself, I didn’t actually really really shower Him, ’cause I scared I get too emotional and I cried. By the way, I was too busy doing some other thing– taking photo lah!! (what else?) HaHa!

uHH!! How gorgeous is that!!

Ok, some of you might wanna know why this Buddha statue has different posture from the others which you normally see in the temple.
Legendary, the moment when Siddhartha Gautama was born, He ‘walked’ seven steps, followed by the growth of seven lotus (as you can see here, He is standing on lotus flower), right hand pointing up to the sky, left hand pointing toward the ground, and said “天上天下,惟我獨尊 “. Explain in English? Sorry, I have no idea =) Look up Google.com if you want to. p/s: My English clearly sucks.

Jo and Robert sincerely bent down and prayed.
Jo: Please let me win more scratchies…” Kidding. Buddha doen’t do this type of ‘business’ la. Buddha 種福田.

I did make wishes too!! I wrote on a piece of paper Bodhi leave.. Wishing everyone the best and well, good health, world peace….. … …

AND…. GIVE ME A JOB!!!!!!!!!!! =)
p/s: My job interview went alright yesterday, I think. I am not sure, I am not a very confident type of person. Haih!!! I hope and pray for the best. Oi Buddha! Are you listening?? ekekkeekek
What you usually have for lunch? Hmmm.. I have sandwich most of the time. Occasionally Indo-Mee or Tuna+ boil eggs or Cereal + Milk.. Yes, you read it correctly, cereal + milk for lunch =)
He He He.. watch out for overloaded pictures.. So artistic!
2 slices of wholemeal bread.. I like the aroma of the oatmeal..rougher the better

Lightly spread olive-oil butter on one side. Kian normally spreads thick butter on both sides. =)

One slice of ham.. I don’t know why. Well, since Kian bought it, might as well?? ekekeke…

Now, this is exciting!! Tomato!!! Cut at least 4 slices of tomato.. and the rest will go to my stomach while I am looking for other stuffs =)

Oh!! Cucumber.. My all time favorite vegetable. 6 slices…

Not enough.. I need more.. more cucumber. Yes, the more the better, please =)

OOOpsss!!!
I forgot to add in avocado!!
Oh well, next time =)

Pencil Holder:
I need a small pencil holder for my own writting table in my room. Here, I am going to show you how to make a simple one, in less that 5 minutes.
I’ve got an empty soft-drink bottle. In this case, I use green bottle. Green is my second favorite color. Oh well, if there is a yellow one, I will definitely go for it =) FYI, I love sunshine color

Cut the top bit of the bottle. Probably 1/4 from the top.
Watch out the sharp edge.
Meantime, start boling some water on low heat.
Cut the bottle into fine lines like those. To reduce the intensity, you may cut some of the lines off. After that, bend the strings outward.
Soon as the water boils, place the bottle into (less than one second) the boiling water and remove it immediately! P/s: Don’t burn yourself. Steam has higher boiling point than water when it exist in liquid phase.
Taaa Daa!! This is how’s look like when viewed from the top.
Ok, I am quite done with the holder, but I need to decorate it.
I’ve got some robe here. You can get those from stationary department of supermarket.
I swirl it up, and glue it on the pencil holder. Hee Heeee.. My new pencil holder =)

There are many many ways to put up a decoration. My initial idea was using my yellow Paul Frank watch, and wrap it around. Sadly, the watch is low on battery and I am abit slack to get a new one.. =P
Anyway, hope you like it. ^_^
I kid you not, I nearly drawn this morning when I did dinghy sailing this morning!!! *tears*
Today is me and Kian first lesson doing dinghy sailing. For those of you in Perth, you all already know the weather aint that good, as the bad weather is affected by the cyclone. Go sailing? I was thinking: Nevermind.
The lesson started with Sal, who is our couch, explaning to us how to set up the sail, what to do if the sail turns upside down..couple of house keeping stuffs.
According to the manager, the strength of wind is perfectly nice for learning. (Yeah right!! Anyone can say anything on 1st of April 講騙話,不用本錢的). Jk.
When we started sailing, due to the choppy wave, windy weather plus unclear instructions given by Sal, out sail capsized!!! Yes, imagine your rice bowl is placed upside down. I was a bit panic. I am not a good swimmer. All I can do is frog style. I try to be calm and don’t cry–take a breath, step by step. Meantime, I was worrying about Kian as well.. I am afraid I am his burden. I nearly call it a quit.
Anyway, we did all we could–follow the wind direction, went up to the top part of the sail, partially un-capsize the sail, throw the rope from the front to the back, and fully un-capsize the sail, went up to the boat, sail back to the shore. Phew! What a teamwork! What a couple!! ^_^ *perasan*

I used to remember my mum’s upset face when I was 5. I told her I wanted to quit playing piano, she got sooooo pissed off. She said I 半途而廢, 三分鐘熱度,不能持之以恆, 沒有用 (give up easily) bla bla bla…. On the hand, dad thought it is OK if I don’t like it, no point forcing me to do what I don’t like. (This is why I don’t want to give up, ’cause I am not that type of person mum used to describe!!!)
In fact, I love piano, I just disliked my piano teacher. Gosh! I am so regret I gave up piano for her. If I kept doing it, I can play piano by then, I know the notes…. So, all the while, instead of memorising all the strange notes in choir (back in high school and college time), I can just read them while I was singing!! Also, I don’t need to wait for my friend(s) to play a song for me… I’ve been waiting for bloooody ages for someone to play “Tong Hua” for me. =(

I love you all.
Amitaba.
