Jacob’s Ladder

Jacob’s Ladder is my recent frequent visit place. I go there twice a week and do some exercise there.

I tried to search all over the place, apprently, Jacob’s Ladder (Perth) doesn’t show up much in the internet.
It is located at the end of Cliff Street, King’s Park. If you go up to King’s Park from Adelaide Terrace direction, turn left into Cliff Street, just before you reach the big round-about, entering King’s Park.
Parking is freely available, depend what time you go up. I normally go up at 5am or 8pm =) I haven’t got any problem looking for one parking space.

This is the ‘ladder’. It is actually a staircase, approximately 300 steps; I am not quite sure, actually. I wanted to count how many steps, but every time when I walk (not run) up/down, and you know lah, I am so tired already, how do I manage to do math up there? ;)

I usually do 3 laps. It is improving, I should be able to do more ’cause I have been practicing. Yes, no choice–once you walk down, you must walk up, it is a one-way staircase, you cannot really chicken out.

The first lap for me is OK–warming up, so not a big problem *cough*. Second lap…I can feel both my thigh are shaking abit. Third lab..hmm..I can really feel my heart is pumping and my arse is getting a bit smaller~!! The feeling is great! ^_*

This is the night view. The small little tower on the left is King’s Park.

and Ladies and Gentlemen… Let me present: Perth night view

Taaaaa Daaa!!!!!

p/s: the moon is not fake ;)

If you live in Perth, you should go there at least once, and give it a go. I am sure you will like it. Enjoy and have fun! =)

The one thing I like about Perth, is the big clear & blue sky and at night, if it is a full moon, it looks so big and near. I wish Malaysia have the same but most of the time it is cover with haze….

Nice pics. I go to JL Mon, Wed, Fri 6am. It’s 243 steps (yes, I’ve counted them). The long flights are 17 steps and the short ones 9. (or is that 19 and 7 - hmmm, cant remember) But anyway its 243 and that’s for dead sure. I love it. Great way to keep fit and healthy.

    Peter

Peter, I seldom do JL anymore. The muscle of my thigh built up so bulkily and I couldnt fit into my jeans.I do swimming now..3 times a week. One hour each session :)

    Cheers!
