Don’t wish me happy birthday.. NO! Scratch that! Yes, you can wish me Happy Birthday, but do not ask how old I am, don’t mention numbers. No numbers.
I am happy, as usual. =)
I had dinner. I told my friends it was not a birthday dinner, as all I wanted is just a get-together dinner. It was lovely, absolutely fabulous!
I’ve got smiles, friendship, love, love and love… I’ve couldnt expect more than that. I am soooooooooo spoilt–to the max!
Oh! None of my friends mention ‘numbers’, cause I don’t want to feel like an old-fart. Faadzel did mention my age, but the numbers seem the same from last year, so I am happy. =)
I called home. Wanted to talk to mum, but didnt manage to get her. Talked to dad. Just like every year in the past, I ring them to say ‘Thank you’.. Thanks to my parents who brought me to this world. Mum suffered hours to give birth to me in OT; without them, there is no me.
I appologize to dad as well, for not doing so well in uni, I asked for forgiveness, again and again. I dont mean to screw up. tears.
I wanted to appologize to mum too; I promise I will do better. Love you mum and dad.
I don’t celebrate birthday till I came to study in Perth. I dont wish to celebrate as I rather keep it quite, and call home–do the routine. Mostly, save everyone money. But this year this time, I crave for more cuddles (and cakes), badly.
It is my birthday. I can do whatever I want– cooking dinner for Kian, Faadzel, Fiona and Joleen, eating quater of the cake, having foot spa, cleaning up the house, drinking Boost Juice… and wishing myself all my dreams come true.
I made some kebab last night for dinner. There is always sometimes during the month I would crave for meat, and I always don’t know why. Kebab recipe has quite a long and interesting history, if you like to find out more, click here =)
Now, I am going to show you my own way of making kebab at home ![]()
First, you need to prepare some ’satay sticks’ and sock them in water. The reason behind is to prevent the sticks getting burnt before the meat is cooked. I am not quite sure how true is that, maybe I need to ask Cooknengr, he may suggest something.
Meantime, I prepared some veges. I used mainly capsicums-orange, green and red capsicum; and onion as well.
Cut the chicken breast into cube-shaped. Marinate them with a little abit of soya sauce and oyster sauce. I did sprinkle some Nando’s hot peri-peri grind on the chicken. The reason is I think the heat would boost the flavor, and it may taste/smell more authentic. Actually, I also not quite sure if this method works..maybe it is pure phychological(?) Not sure? Easy! ask Cooknengr again. =P
Beside chicken cube, I did get some beef cube. I did not marinate nor pepper and salt the beef as I wanted to keep its original taste.
Now, this is my favorite part–putting the meat and vegetable in the sticks.
No particular oder required. But I presonally prefer vege at both ends as they give good support, preventing the meat from ‘falling off’ =)
As you can see here, why I used few types of capsicums–they gives nice combination of colour.
Heat up the gril-pan and place the kebab on the pan. The time required for cooking depends upon individual household gril.
This is the final result… tee hee hee =)
By the way, you can have it with rice or any type of carbohydrate you like on that particular day. We had kebab with cheese, garlic baked potato.
Till then.. hope you like it and enjoy~!
;)
Phew~! I started cleaning up my desk and the table in living room. There were so many pens and stuffs all over everywhere. I need a proper ’storage’ for them.
Great! I found this empty shoe box in the corner of my house.. It is a very strong one, and nice quality as well.

I found some left-over material too. Old ribbon, old card boards and old calender. When I say art work or design, in my own defination , I don’t usually buy brand new material unless I would really use them. I normally use those junks mail, super market weekly catalogue or I make my own paper.
This is another quality card board. I’ve got it from Kian–his Christmas present wraps =)
First of all, smear glue all over the edge. Don’t worry about the icky sticky feeling. You gotta love them when you are in art world
Stick the card board and press it around the edge. Cut off the excessive area.
I slowly insert the pink ribbon for 2 sides. You have to do this before the glue dries. After inserting the ribbon, apply a little bit more glue so the ribbon will stick firmly.
I got the sunflower from last year calender. You know, I love sunflower, all the time =) In this case, I am cutting the blue background off. I just want to keep the yellow parts. A sharp scissors is essential. As you can see here, some part of the ‘flower’ is quite squarish, therefore, you need to round it up, depending how you going to decorate it.
I also use another small one, easily glue it on the other side.
Ta Dah!!!! This is my little storage for all the stationary at home =) The yellow sunflower and black background reflects the contrast.
Don’t really like ‘Picasso’?? No problem! Turn another way around, I’ve got hot pink and black. Pink mateches the baby-pink curtain and carpet at home. Hot and sexy, not? =)

Tell me how much I score out of 10, will ya? I love to hear from you all, so I can keep improving myself. =)
Thank you very much. *_^
I think CarCar sayangs (loves) me just like Chen does. They like to kiss me. I mean, TAG me. =) I wonder how I manage to handle so many kisses at one time. hmmm ..

p/s: this picture does not relate to this particular tag question. 本故事純屬虛構,如有相合,純屬巧合.=)
The wound will soon become scar, and the pain is still there everytime I go jogging and try a few golf swing in the park
People who get annoyed due to their own hypersensitivity.
Not (never got) enough pocket money =)
Looking for a job. I sick of waiting for people to fall from the bus..damn you! when is my turn??
Taaa Daaaaa!!! Another food post! =) This is special post requested by Carcar. I told her I would prepare my own style of fish katsu.. There you go~!!!
You need crumbed fish fillets.
Bake the fish fillet in oven. 270 degree celcius, 15-20 minutes on each sides. You will need longer heating time for frozen fish.
While baking the fish, you can boil the rice. For me, I microwaved my rice, as usual =) I use medium shirt grain rice for more ‘authentic’ Japanese dinner.
I found short grain rice trapped more water and in taste wise, it is more caramelised.
Meanwhile, you need some onion, chopped small and brownish them on lightly oiled frying pan.
The onion is then added to eggs. The amount of eggs used depend upon the amount of fish fillets used. I think in this case, 1 fish fille = 1 egg.
Stir the onion and egg. Mix well. Remember, NO need SUGAR or SALTS. I use onion as it increases the crunchiness of the fish filler. Plus, onion caramelised the fish and egg naturally.
When the fish is baked, heat up the frying pan on medium heat. Place the fish fillet on the pan like this:
and then, wrap it up carefully.. If you want to speed up your cooking, then you can increase the heat at this stage. I personally like to cook my egg ASAP so the chrunchiness of the crumbed fish fillets can be preserved.
Turn the fish fillet… I like the egg a bit brownish =)
Once the fish fillet(s) are done, you can place them on choping board, so it will cool down a bit.
Use a sharp knife and cut them into pieces like this:
And then, place them nicely on the rice.
This is our simple student-style dinner. I did not add any sauce nor prepare miso soup. I think this is alright. But if you can suggest anything else, that would be great!
Thanks and good luck =)
Scratch that! You dont need luck in this simple preparation. trust me!
Chen tagged me, again. I am her constant victim. She is just like my uni tutor,
shiok shiok like that drop a nuclear bomb-homework for you, and ask you to complete them.
Worst thing is she mentioned ‘How Old Are You?”. My first reaction was..

Nah! I am just kidding(?) ;)
I watched Chicken Little sometimes ago, and I remember I took lotsa pictures we all wearing this over-sized 3D glasses. Yeah, if my memory serves me right, we have 5 pairs of this glases in total =)
This glasses has been sitting around in the house… I wanted to throw it away as I am not that type of person who likes to collect souvenier. But, not till I promised Jellyfish; I will keep it for him, so he can pick it up when he comes to Perth. Save the postage fee
I friendly made (forced) my buddies to wear the glasses.. and I want to see who looks like Chicken Little the most.
Hmmm.. I would say Faadzel. Definitely him! He has that hair-style, shape of his head.. =) and I think he has sexy lips too. Cool.
Kian definitely has no choice to say NO to me. I dare him. =) Actually, I am very loving and very very sweet to him one, FYI ^_^ I always do ..
Jo and me, we both are quite obsessed with the glasses. =) She happily wore the glasses for me, and passionly allow me to snap some pictures. Ah!! Nice and easy one.
Fiona is abit ‘boo-kam-buan” (annoyed), cause I disturbed her while she nearly finish her game in my PC, I think. I can’t remember. Or maybe we over-teased her the other night 0_O
This is Robert…. He looks cool.
Hmmm… I really like those pictures. I like making (forcing) people to pose for me, and asking them to hold their smile for me, ekeke… as long as they can =)
I think I might wear this Chickem Little glasses to Burswood Casino, hopefully the security guards will check my ID. Why? Good question. Cause the last time I went there, the security guards phucking did NOT check my ID!!! What the hell? I am that old meh??? I have been deprssed since then.
I don’t care. They better check my ID this time. I like it when they say “ID, please”. And I like to see their respond after looking at my birthday “wOOOOw!! I can’t believe you look so young!?”
Waaaaaah lau~!!! That feeling, damn shiok, I tell you!
I smile… and I walk into to Casino, just like other old farts, yet 18-years-old-spirit! =)
My passport expired sometimes ago, so I gotta get it renewed in Consulate-general of Malaysia. It is located in Adelaide Terrace.
For you Malaysian folks in Perth, if you wanna get your passport done, please don’t go to Hyatt Hotel, as those people moved down to the street. The office is just right opposite Duxton Hotel, or next to Police and Nurse Society building. Oh silly me! How many Malaysians would actually stay in Ozzie over summer except dumbarse like me?
I got there at 930am. The office is fully ‘protected’, I mean …. fully iron-gated.
Press the door bell..
“assalamualaikum!! assalamualaikum!” I am kidding. I did not say that.
“walk from behind!” One of the Malay officer shouted from the office.
“HA? walk from behind?”
Oh! I see!! Malaysia is one hella unique country on earth. For God sake, I had to use back door?
And please tell me, Malaysia is not the only country wants the passport photo background in blue colour. Cause I had to search all over Victoria Park and get my photos taken professionally (AUD 20) and no negatives provided. FH!! Damn ! I cant swear, you see!
Anyway.. this is the back door and it looks like a cell. aH! whatever la, Malaysia Boleh! =)
This is the reception. The receptionist is suprb friendly. She speaks very Malaysian English. I feel so close to my home. I told her :Kakak, adek faseh Bahasa.. There you go.. we had our conversation in Bahasa Melayu. Mind you, I grow up in kampung (village) and I have very strong Malay ascent, still. Again! Malaysia Boleh! *whatever*
OH!!! Forget everything I tell you.. They are not relevant. All I wanted to tell you is, I white-lied (NOT cheating) in the passport renewal application form!!!!
My height was 150cm.. and guess what??? I changed to 151cm!!! Bloody ONE Centimeter taller!!! Malaysia Boleh!
I break the zero!! yeah Hoooooo!!!! =P
I know, I know.. Oh! I am so glad they did not actually measure my height.
Deeeeer..whatever lah! I am now abit taller.
I am soooooo happy!!! soooo happy!
I am not particular in celebrating Valentine’s day. For me, Evereyday is Valentine’s day. This is shamelessly quoated from Chen. Actually, I have been going out with Kian for years… We live together, and it is really like everyday thing.
But strange enough, this is the first time we are together on 14th Feb, as most of the time, I would still shaking my legs in Bagan Serai, and he would probably still enjoying his favorite kolok mee in Miri.
Kian asked me what I wanted for dinner. My answer: I want something poisonous to my scar and wound!! Damn!! Give me the bloooody seafood ’cause I haven’t had any of them since I was admitted to hospital. I miss my seafood!!! I know, I know.. this is really bad.
Kian likes chili crap. This is the very very first time we attempt this dish. It is abit hard as we don’t have those big and deep stir-fry pan.
Satay sauce tentacles~!! yes! This is my favorite at all time. I like eating funny shaped seafood espacially those with eight legs. No! I dont eat jellyfish. LOL
We had fish and prawn as well. I pretty much screwed up the fish. The skin is quite severly burnt. Thank God, the meat is still ok.
WA Tiger king prawns…..
We dont have rice or pasta for the dinner. The carbohydrate-substitute is CAKE!!! Oh!! I love the cake. Yummie sponge cake topped with white and dark chocolate flakes.
It is a heart-shaped one..
I have made a quite a numbers of ‘Thank You’ cards few nights ago. I always enjoy a quite night making up crafts. cards or a little bit of designs. Slow music. No rock-n-rolls. A cup of decaffeinated coffee. Plus, a reflection of what’s has been going on these few days.
Thanking those staff members, doctors, surgical team and nurses from Royal Perth hospital and local Medical Center…
Thanking my friendly colleages who give me such a wondeful memories at work…
Thanking my good friends… they mean alot to me…
Thanking my teachers, trainer, teamleaders who have been helping me all the time…
Thanking my parents…my family… my Kian…
Thanking you.. Thanking strangers.. Thanking passer-by…your smile, your ‘Hello’.. and Thanking myself for being strong, spiritual, and real to myself…
Life is short eh? Do you actually think how many ‘thank you’s you say in a day? =)
How many sorry(s)… please(s)??
OK! This is getting sentimental. ekekek.. I dont mean to make you cry.. =)
Guess what? I just talking to my gf in the phone for blooody 1 hour 39minutes and 33 second. Gosh.. my ear is burning. =) This is my personal record! Definitely!!!
Oh yeah! I did make few birthday cards as well. I make more than hundreds of cards for people as far as I can remember.. Hmm, wondering who will send me a birthday card? My birthday is coming up soon!!! in 2 weeks time.
Eeeerrrr.. But..NAH!!! Forget about sending me cards. I don’t really want a reminder that saying “hey!!! you are one year older now!!” *cold sweat*
But, I really want a card wishing me ‘Happy Birthday!”. Send me one, will ya? Thank you!! Very Very Much!!!!!!! mwaaaaaah!
By the way, there are 10 cards here.. which one you like?
