Out of a blue, I felt like washing everything in my house. I practically throw everything into my washer– everything that are washable. Curtains layers, throw-over, cushions, bed sheets, towel, blankets… You name it. I want to start fresh for New Year. I want to get ready for everything.. “new” things…new beautiful mood.
I enjoy pressing the start button of the washer; I like the beep of the washer. I keep openning the washer lid while it is still spinning, and starring at the bubbles. I enjoy waiting for the washer to beeeeep me….
I had to clean the curtains in the living room very firstly..coz without the curtain, this is how I can see-thru the park and the lake from my house. Similiarly, this is how the people outside can see me. =) You gotta love the view from my house.
I’ve been so hooked and paranoid at my housework. I havent got the time to do proper cooking. At the end, I decided to make some spagetti. My whatever-spagetti. *smile* Enough to feed 3 people at home.
Dolmio pasta sauce, mixed vege, beef mince, onion..
The final result:

Blimme, 24 hours a day is not enough for me when I am so in love with houseworks and cookings … Yet, I havent include gardening thou =)
We drove up to Joondalup to visit Verna, Wally, Oscar and Snow Pea. It is about 30min drive from home. Kian used to stay with them when he first arrived in WA. I know Verna since then. She is our very very good friend. She withness our relationship grow. Aunty Verna means alot to us in our life in Australia.
We do family thing every year during Chritmas. This year, we had to celebrate Christmas abit late as aunty Verna had to work on public holiday. I always looking forward to go up North as she cooks very very yummie dinner. =)
Oh yeah.. please meet Wally. He is a beautiful dog.
This is Oscar.. he is very humanised. He is a flirty cat. =) This is the only cat I dare to stick my hand on his fur. He knew Kian was taking picture of him.. thats why he sticked his head up. =P
Aunty Verna spoils us all the time when we make our trip up there. These are all the finger food we had. I had nearly more than a quater of cheese with thin water craker. Gosh! they are so creamy and smooth. Those baked finger food are very tasty. I had couple of them. I nearly filled my stomach up before main meal. Oh well, Christmas only comes once a year. I promise, this would be my last eating-silly session of 2005.
Oh yeah, please meet Andrew. Andrew is aunty Verna’s second son. He is a cool handsome dude. =) Kian and Andrew were helping out Verna with the ham.
Ta Dah!!! I proudly present aunty Verna! We had plenty of food– ham, roast chicken, pumpkin, vege, salad, potato salad..Traffle, cream, strawberry and kiwi fruit for dessert. They all 100% beautiful. Im sooo fulled.
This is everybody at dinner. Tony (aunty Verna’s oldest son) family is in Tazzie… they all not here. But nvm, aunty Verna said we are going to have a traditional one next year. Yay!!!

(i cant remember whats the name of the Asian lady in green.. she is anuty verna’s ex colleage)
The dinner was good, the catching up was even better. It was a lovely, wonderful and fabulous evening. I feel sooo spoiled and loved. =) Thanks aunty Verna for having us…*tears*
p/s: On the way home, I unbutton my tight jeans so my tummy can breath better. I took my shoes off, so I can sit like an Ah-Beng in the Kopi-tiam. I was enjoy digging my nose-sh*t, listening to music, and my phone rang. Oh, it was Huai Pin from sixthseal.com. Great Lord, he and Eddie plus other friends were drinking hard.Huai Pin was trying to get drunk sumore. =P Good to hear from you guys. Eddie (cooknengr.com) asked me about my cooking thing. Aiyo.. shy man =) Anyway, Hey dude, thanks for calling. Have a wonderful evening.
I havent been bbq-ing for awhile. Gosh, I miss my bbq meat. So, we deciced to go for BBQ this Christmas. Yay!!!Meat! BBQ is just….something very aussie.
Me and Joleen (Jo) were doing the cooking. Ey? I was b*tching about it, issint guys should do the cooking? and me and Jo should sit back and relax?–if we are taking BBQ seriously aussie. =)
We had sausages, chicken kebab that prepared by Robert. We had baked mushroom, sweet corn, pudding…
Ta dah!!!!!! The meat is yummie.. the breeze is beautiful, the weather is close-to-perfect. Except the UV is quite high.
Ok, I know you want it, baby~ =P
Faadzel is checking out the food. He prepared lamb and chicken.
Testing, testing ONE, TWO, THREE… not bad.
Oh yeah! This is my favorite part! Breaking the Bon-Bons! Jo bought the Bon-Bon which contains paper hat/crown and (lame) jokes.
Smile…
Another one…
The sun was bright.. very stricking, I tell you. I had sunburn. I can smell myself grilled.
Cheers everybody!

After BBQ session, we all head back to my place.. Poker time! Yay!
Merry Christmas~!!!!
It was Fiona’s spontanous idea–turkey dinner. I told her I didnt want to do it until I review and memorise what Cooknengr tought me. I pretty much skipped few steps as we bought a fresh turkey. Damn! This is first time in my life I “deal” with turkey. Man! Turkey has big arse! =)
The cooking process wasnt that hard as I expected. Me and Fiona send those boys off playing golf while we did the cooking. Yes, female rules in the kitchen. *wink wink* While heating up the turkey, we still managed to sneak out to town to get some Xmas pressie. Gosh! Woman, woman, aint we are just everything! =)
Fiona and me preparing the meal.
We set up the table..We didnt actually had plenty variations of food. I was thinking it is best to have turkey..lotsa lotsa turkey meat. Oh yeah, and some alcohol to go with. =) We bought couple bottle of wine and champagne. Fiona picked up a giant bottle of Heineken. Great lord! 1.5Liter. She doesnt even drink beer, she just loves the bottle and the little santa hat. what the heck? Woman??
Ok everybody.. say “cheese”~~!!!!
From left: Robert, Me, Fiona, Jackson and Kian.
We played cards and had few drinks. Trust me, not much. *blink blink* We didnt get drunk lah.
Kian had red flushy face… what the heck, he wore sunny in the middle of no where.. and what? He is wearing Jolene’s skirt! Oh, he is soooo cute. Eh! He is my bf! =) I never say he is not cute, ok? ^-^
The sexy thing in skirt. Jolene, the lady in green shirt.
The wearing skirt thing was Fiona and Jolene’s idea, actually. They challenged Kian. They would finish like a big glass of Vodka (straight)– if Kian wears skirt. Gosh, they dont know my bf well, Kian has tiny, skinny and sexy body figure that would fit in any small cloth easily. Sorry girls, you pick the wrong games and the wrong person. LOL
Fiona’s ‘throwing out’ face. Oppps.. I tak boleh tahan liaw~
aHHH! This Jackson wasnt even drinking. He was soooo soooo high! He dressed up like Aussie Wong Fei Hung..let’s start kung fu fighting.
Hmm.. I am thinking: shall we do it again? =P
Cooking is an art, I love art.
However, most of the time I dont really ’show off’ doddy way of art works. =) In case they look nice and taste yummie, and someone ask me how I made it, I ‘paiseh’ (shy) to admit “Hey, you know you can get that instant cooking powder at Coles?” See, not a good idea.
But, thru’out my cooking experience, I mustta admit that even using instant powder to aid cooking, it needs “skills” thou; not all cooking instructions shown work, they suX. =P
If Cooknengr is reading, I bet he will be laughing his arse off.
I roasted Honey and Macaedemia Chicken Roll.
This is how the roasted chicken roll looked before I cut it into pieces.
I prepared some caesar salad as well. When come to entertain friends (mostly myself), I found caesar salad is the one most acceptable. Tell me about it, I love the bacon pieces. =)
I made some mashed potato as well. I try to inter-change between rice, noodle, pasta and potato in our daily meal, so Kian wont get sick of having the same thing everyday.
Initially, I was thinking of making cheese-baked potato, but It wasnt a good idea ad caesar salad comes in white creamy sauce, so it is better to use plan potato, rather than saucy potato.
This is full course, folks.. ta dah~~!!!!
Chicken, salad and potato
This is our 滿漢全席 at home. Actually, nothing fancy. I rather call it 粗茶淡飯. I have been eating out for the past few days, now I need home cook meal. It is time to ‘detox’, that’s how I call it.
The 3/4-chef of the dinner was Fiona. Everybody, this is Fiona. Fiona, this is everybody. =)

Fiona cooked curry chicken. The curry powder used was prepared by her mum, which was then sent over. Hehe.. She used chicken jumbo sized drumsticks, or shall I call mini turkey drum? It looks reddish, but it wasnt that spicy as you think. =)
Vegetable lightly stir-fry with mushroom and ’soya-skinned’ fishcake. This is MY COOKING~! Eh, I dont normally show off my cooking one, dude. I do cook quite a bit at home, but they are pretty low standard; I know how to shy one, you know? =P It tasted OK. No MSG added. I wanted to say ‘It tasted yummie’, but like I said: I know how to shy one.
Fiona worried there might be not enough dishes as we were feeding Jackson as well. This dude eats alot. =) So, she made some eggs. Nothing fancy. But it is all goooood.
Agar-agar (jelly) for dessert. Yum. If Jackson or Kian was the one who did the cooking, I bet we all will end up in KFC or other restaurant. =P

Tonight is my turn cooking. I need to go to Lenard (butcher).. get some meat. Yay~!! When Xmas is just around the corner, those local shop will open on Sunday–which is pretty much once a year thing that I cannot miss out.
oh! Perth.
I haven’t been to HK BBQ for awhile. It is one of the finest HK style Chinese food in town. I usually bitch about how rude are those Hongkie waitpersons, but in this particular HK restaurant, we always receive the best service–just like a VIP. =P
HK BBQ specialised in roast and bbq meat; they have best roast duck in town. Too bad, I didnt manage to have some on Friday night as we all were waiting for Jackson coming back from work.
The first dish we had was Salt and Pepper Spareribs. Absolute divine. Fine pork. I personally like it with my plain dry jasmine rice. It tasted just like home.
My gf Fiona is not a fish person, she eats only Tooth Fish. I am a complete seafood fan, I love my fish just like anything else. =) We had steammed Tooth Fish.
I tell you, this is a very daring decision as not much people would order steam fish in Chinese restaurant– hell know if the fish is fresh or not. I DO order them in HK BBQ, their food is fresh all the time; The steam fish we had tasted yummie and sweet…
Sze Chuan or Singapore hot and spicy sauce in sizzling Japanese tofu. OK, this is my all-time favourite whenever I eat out. I am sure Dr. Chen (http://chen22.blogspot.com/) can tell. =) I dont know why, apprently the one we had not that good, the sauce is not viscous/thick enough, the taste is not that sizzling hot as I expected, the texture of tofu is not superb soft… OK, I better stop being like a b*tch. I just simply got irritated when the food cannot satisfy my taste buds.

The final dish we had was beef stir-fry with vegetables (carrot, celery, chinese pickle etc). It was recommened by the lady boss. Er, I dont know who lost their mind that night, =) Kian? Fiona? Jackson? None of us are vegetable diner, and I never expect such a enourmous amount of vege. We hardly eat them. But the beef were all gone. Soft and tender beef never got left behind the plate.

AH! This is something interesting thing you must see… the snowcrab is humping the eel~!! Kidding. I wonder why the eels are so stupid, cant they just get out, *click click” just like that?? stupid crab and stupid eels.. no wonder they are always so yummie to eat. =)

p/s: I dunno about jellyfish… cos i never tried ‘em.
Cookengr ( http://cooknengr.com/blog2 ) showed me how to prepare turkey for Chritsmas.. =P
I tell you, damn shiok la! I hope I dont screw up.
