Remembrance, Reflection & Celebration - WAAC 20th Anniversary Exhibition
Me and Kian were voluntering at WAAC. Oh yeah, I tagged Lena along with me. I love WAAC activities. I like to do things that Chinese not normally like to do. Typical Chinese do not like to talk bout HIV/AIDS and death; they are quite preserved when come to “safe sex” education; they absolutely don’t want to know much about Gay and Lesbian. If happend they have a gay son.. they probably will use Harry Potter’s Nimbus (broomstick) chase their son away from house. (not? i have no idea, just made it up for fun)
Ok! Since not much Asians involving WAAC and I am a Chinese.. I have a “role” to help those people out, right? *wink wink*
I went to “Remembrance, Reflection & Celebration” WAAC 20th Anniversary Exhibition at Perth Town Hall.
Sarah, vollie adminstrator rang me during my exam. I still can recall all I said to her was “Yes, see you there.. and I will be taking Kian with me.. and my camera…and Lena..”
I was supposed the one taking pictures, but I am not good at taking pictures in dim light. Consequesntly, I “sent” my Kian to be cameraman. *cough cough* Plus, they need vollies to help out to serve and prepare food and drink. =) ha.. see! there was a point.
I carried 5 trays of finger food platter..smile all night, asking invited guests if they wanted to have something to eat, greet.. I tell you, the porcess was not simple as you think. Carrying food around was not easy yet screening thru those information of WAAC–history, establishment, development of WAAC, vollie history… I was so so touched, knowing people are working so hard for everyone out there. Quite a numbers of them are gay and lesbian, so what??? They are beautiful! They do more that those heartless dude out there.. I give them all my respect.
This is the what happend behind the exhibition– food preparation! yay! sushi! I tell you, the platter might look small, but they were damn heavy, I carried till I felt like I have dropping arms..

Opss.. sorry, abit distracted. Back to AIDS/HIV thingy, I pray for everyone…everyone.. May the force be with you. God bless.
